The lower temperatures for sure, but also the fashion, food, and all the fun that the season brings. A pot of chili cooking on the stove and football in the background is the perfect weekend recipe if you ask me. Since I can’t yet pull out the sweaters, I’m changing up my footwear. I wear booties year round, but getting a few new pairs for Fall means I can’t wait to wear them. I paired these gray ones with this sky blue dress for an easy weekend outfit. I’ve also worn this dress (and exact outfit) to work. I’m lucky that my work is rather casual, so I can wear all my cute booties. This pair comes in so many different colors. They are comfortable to walk around in all day, too! You can shop this outfit below:

This weekend, we had a date night at my favorite local Italian spot, then I had a night in with my two best girlfriends, wine, and a lot of chocolate. Saturday, we woke up early and headed down to Austin, Texas. We did some wedding planning and I think we’ve found our venue and date! Woohoo! *If anyone has been an Austin bride and has any recommendations for vendors, please feel free to pass them along to me! Austin was the first place we ever visited together. Neither of us had ever been out of town alone with someone we had dated and we had a blast exploring the city together. I’ve been to Austin countless times (my previously mentioned two best girlfriends went to college there), but that was his first visit. He fell in love with the wonderfully weird city.

We came back Saturday evening, picked up Maddie from a friend who was watching her, ordered pizza and watched football. On Sunday we had brunch with some friends, then took Maddie to a dog park + bar with some friends. It was so hot outside, so I’m looking forward to cooler days in the coming months where we can stay outside with her longer. We relaxed at home last night, watched football and the Emmy’s. I of course was multi-tasking and was working on some blog posts + answering emails while watching tv. Overall, it was a productive, relaxing weekend! Plus, Arkansas and The Cowboys won.. so no complaints here! I hope yours was just as wonderful and you feel ready for a new week!
