GUEST BEDROOM REVEAL
I am so excited to be sharing our guest bedroom reveal with you all today! We could not be happier with how this space turned out. We started from scratch in this room & only had a few smaller things previously. We had to get everything from a mattress & pillows to a rug, a dresser, curtains, decor, & more. It was quite the process & took us about six or seven months to fully have it finished. I don’t like to rush decor because I think when you do, it feels that way. We took our time & think it was so worth the wait. Hopefully you all think so, too! Stay tuned, I’ll be sharing a video tour later this week here on the blog, on YouTube, & on Instagram on IGTV.
GUEST BEDROOM PHOTOS
Below are photos of our guest bedroom broken down by area or section to make it easier for you all to shop & so I can give you a little more information on some of the pieces in the room. Some of the photos are along the way progress photos including some from before we got all new windows. The new windows made SUCh a difference in the space. We also got new door hardware c/o Emtek, which made a big difference, too.
I almost always go for white bedding. Because we knew we’d have white bedding, we wanted to go with a darker grey bed. I found this velvet one with gold hardware & was in love. It’s so gorgeous! The bedding we chose has a subtle white pattern, which gives it some fun texture. We wanted moody tones in the room, so these deep burgundy velvet pillows were perfect. We added in a metallic gold & a black mongolian lamb pillow for some extra texture. They also add more glam & moody touches. I wanted a neutral color throw that was a nice medium between the white and grey & I loved the thick basketweave style of this one. It is SO cozy!

We didn’t necessarily need storage in our bedside tables, so we wanted to go with an open style like these. I think open tables can make a room feel larger or like there is more space. We were both obsessed with the dark black marble & the gold detail. These are great as bedside tables or as a side table in a living space. We styled them with a stack of books, some blush planters, some of our favorite candles, and these fun gold & acrylic lamps. They are styled simply & we love them.

I saved this dresser to my wishlist the second I saw it. I was in love with the neutral gray wood & the hardware on it. It’s so so pretty. It comes in a few other colors, but this grey one had my heart. We styled our favorite art print above it & then did a few books, a fun bookend, a diffuser, more books, and some planters. The diffuser is Coqui Coqui Tabaco which is one of our favorite scents. It makes the whole room smell so good!
The acrylic box with the pyrite top is c/o Rox. They have the most stunning pieces if you need something for your home or for a gift! Pyrite is supposed to be great at cleansing energy, so that is perfect for a guest room space!

Sometimes the smallest details make the biggest difference in a space. One of my favorite room accessories are the hand curtain tie backs. I think they are so unique & different! We went with gold curtain rods & neutral color curtains to tie in the color of the blanket on the bed. Our rug is a classic grey with a subtle neutral pattern. This rattan chair is another favorite piece. You can actually use it inside or outside, which I love. We had this little gold side table in our apartment & it worked well here with a few books & some flowers on top. Finally, we switched out the old fan that was in here for this beautiful light fixture. I think it ties the whole room together & adds such a beautiful focal point.

GALLERY WALL & ART
“Where is your Biggie picture from?” is one of my most asked questions. The exact print is one I ordered years & years ago for my husband from an artist in the U.K. I have scoured through my e-mail trying to find details on the exact one & have not been able to. I have found an almost identical one HERE that I always link for you all though. It is much more affordable than the one I purchased & looks so similar. We took the print to be custom framed. It hung for years over our bed, but we moved it into the guest room when we moved into our house.
The art print that is above our bed is from Citizen Atelier. I spotted it awhile ago when I saw a tour of Nina Dobrev’s home & instantly saved it. I thought it was such a beautiful piece & it was one of the first art prints we bought for our new home. You can grab it HERE. I think it works perfectly above our guest bed! I built a lot of the room around this piece. Once we got the print in, we took it in to be custom framed at a local framer here in Dallas (I go to the one on Mockingbird by the original Campisis). We did a floating style instead of at traditional mat & a goldish metallic frame. We love how it turned out!
For our gallery wall, I used a mix of prints I found on Society 6 & photos that I took while traveling. We framed them online c/o Framebridge or on our own locally. The ‘rule’ we followed for this gallery wall was just having all the outer edges line up & then sort of randomly placing the ones in the middle. We wanted at mix of colors in the frames & for the prints, but were sure to spread out the frame colors on the wall. A great tip for saving money on frames is to buy cheaper prints & then get them custom framed to make them look more expensive! We are obsessed with how this wall turned out!
