If you haven’t noticed, I live in denim cut offs in the summer. It’s often too hot for me to wear jeans during the day time (or even night) in Texas, so I opt for shorts. These are my favorite ones I’ve found to date and have become the base of my summer uniform. The secret of these shorts is the cut of the leg, where it is longer toward the inner thigh and shorter toward the outer thigh. It really helps elongate the leg and is so flattering. For an even better fit, I size up from my usual jean size in these. (I’ve linked this style below.) I just ordered a similar pair in white, so hopefully I love them as much as these!
A white blazer is another great staple in any wardrobe. I got this one a few years ago and continue to wear it. That’s the best part about classic clothes or investment pieces- the CPW (cost per wear) is great. I love that this blazer so easily dressed up a t-shirt in this outfit. The cutoffs and t-shirt can be worn throughout the day for errands and then, with the addition of the blazer, a wedge, and these statement earrings, you’d be good to go for a night out.
These wedges have been on repeat since I bought them. They come in a few colors and are so comfortable! I keep checking out the black and am considering adding them to my closet, too. And lets talk earrings. The second I saw these, I needed them. I love geodes, but I often don’t love the price tag they can come with. These are such a great price and add such a great pop of color and statement to any outfit. I can’t wait to keep styling them! I just saw that they added them in a few different colors, too. Isn’t it It so nice that it’s already Wednesday?! I love a short week. Even though it is the summer and I’m not really working, the weekend energy is so great and all of my friends are off of work, too. This weekend I’ll be accompanying one of my best friends to her wedding dress fitting and going to lunch with her while she is in town. If you’re in Dallas and haven’t been to Grange Hall for lunch yet– it’s a must. Not only is the entire store gorgeous (they do the best floral arrangements) and filled with the most amazing home and gift options, but the food and cocktails are all amazing. They have a sandwich called the ‘snob sandwich’ on the menu that is to die for. Plus, they maybe have one of the best cheese boards in Dallas.
