Today, I’m partnering with AvoDerm Natural Pet Foods to talk about why avocados aren’t just for people!
We get it. Avocado costs extra. It shouldn’t though! I love avocado so much that I often find myself having to purposefully not add it to whatever I’m eating. It’s one of those foods I just don’t get tired of. My husband and I have actually been on an avocado toast kick at home for months. There are so many different ways you can fix avocado toast, and so many things it tastes amazing on, that we go through so many avocados a week! I love that it is a rich flavor, with a healthy source of fat that has amazing health (and beauty) benefits. They are jam packed with antioxidants and over twenty vitamins and minerals. We’ll sit down and eat our avocado toast in the morning and our dog, Maddie, will run over and sit by us to see what all the excitement is on our plates. Basically, I am an avocado addict.
NOT JUST FOR PEOPLE
It’s not just me and my husband though. Did you know that avocados are actually great for your pets, too? Just like they are full of essential nutrients for us and help with our skin, they also help support healthy skin and a beautiful coat in dogs, too. People are always telling us how soft Maddie is, so we know her coat is healthy! Seriously, we call her a little velvet angel! We’re attributing that to the nutrient rich California-grown avocados in the AvoDerm Natural she’s been eating. It’s great for animals who have skin or allergy issues. The allergens were SO bad in Dallas this year that I think almost every pet and person was dealing with them, so we are all for anything that helps with that!
If you’ve been following along for a while, then you know that Maddie, our rescue dog, is more like a fur child. If you know us, then you know that we are obsessed with her. She’s such a blessing in our life and we really feel like she rescued us, so we only want the best for her and we spoil her rotten. We even have a ‘Maddie budget’ each month. If you’re a fur parent like we are, and only want the best for your pup, then look in to AvoDerm Natural for great food options for your pet. Maddie has been on a grain free diet since we got her, so we just kept giving her that to not upset her stomach. All AvoDerm products are gluten free, so this was a great fit for us and her.
Maddie’s been eating the Chicken Meal and Brown Rice formula and she seems to absolutely love it. AvoDerm Natural makes pet food with avocados that support her health and digestion. It is also wheat free, corn free, and soy free! It’s also free of by products and preservatives. They test all ingredients before they accept them into the facility where the food is made and they make all of the food in small batches and cooked at lower temperatures to help support better digestion. We care a lot about what we eat, so obviously we care about what we feed our four-legged bestie, too! Maddie will dance and do just about any trick when it’s mealtime and she will whine when it’s time for breakfast and dinner because she’s always so excited about her food. I love knowing a have a happy and healthy pup.
We like stocking up on AvoDerm on Amazon, because let’s be honest… it’s just so easy to shop that way! You can switch now on Amazon. We are leaving Maddie girl for almost two weeks today when we head to France for our anniversary, so we have a smaller bag coming in that we can take to her boarding place while we’re away. Leaving her is always the down side to traveling! We’ll come home to a happy, healthy, and sweet little velvety angel, which is always the warmest welcome home.
You can switch now on Amazon and start giving your pet AvoDerm and you can start seeing the benefits! While it’s easier to transition your dog from one food to another when the ingredients are high quality like these, it’s still important to do so gradually. When making a switch for Maddie. We slowly added in a little bit of the new food at a time while slowly phasing out her old food.
I always love when Maddie girl makes an appearance with me! I hope that you all are having a fabulous week so far. Thanks for stopping by to spend some of your time with us. XO
