I love pops of red with classic combos like black and white stripes. The detail on this dress is not only beautiful with the pop of color it gives from the red stitching, but also the metallic gold trim that you can see in the closer shots. October in Texas has still in the 80s most days (and even up to 90 some lately) soo to feel like it’s fall I’m throwing on booties with dresses or shorts. These have been a favorite of mine since I snagged them almost 2 years ago. I LOVE the little heel on them and how they give any outfit a little pop of fun color. Our sweet little pup had surgery to get fixed on Friday, so we spent the weekend nursing her. I worked out with a trainer and a friend on Saturday, then spent the afternoon eating cheese, drinking wine, and having girl talk with a sweet friend. (You may have seen the perfect cheese board on my Instagram.) Besides that, my weekend was spent relaxing and catching up on some much needed down time. It’s been so heart breaking to see sweet Maddie hurting or seemingly sad. She’s had a few issues recovering so far, but we’re hoping she’s back to normal soon. In the mean time, she’s even more snuggly than usual. Instead of the big ole ‘cone of shame’ we got her an inflatable round neck collar. It sort of looks like a pillow you’d use on an airplane and I keep getting asked what the deal is with the pillow when we’re out on walks. We’ll be out of town for a wedding this weekend and I’m even more sad than usual to leave her. But, she’ll get her stitches out shortly after and I’m sure be back to her usual self in no time! Until then, she’s getting spoiled rotten with tons of bully sticks, treats, pup cookies, and bones. Hope your weekends were just as relaxing as mine!
