This is one of my favorite dresses to date. I could not be more in love with the detail on this dress. I mean.. do you see the gorgeous little bit of tule peaking out of the bottom of this dress? I’m obsessed with the black tie detail straps and the multiple tiers of this dress. The color is so gorgeous, too. I consider blue a neutral and this icy blue is just perfection. This dress is perfect for a Spring or Summer wedding or a Summer cocktail party.
I paired this dress with black accessories to play off the black in the dress and to contrast with the ruffles and lace. I’m definitely going to dress this down in the future with black booties and a leather jacket, too. I’ll likely be thinking of twenty different ways to wear this or events to wear this too because I’m just obsessed. If you’re following me on Instagram then you may also remember the off-the-shoulder top I posted that was also in this blue lace fabric. You can shop that one on my Shop: My Instagram page.

This dress was sent to me c/o Zac Zac Posen, along with a few other gorgeous pieces, which I’ll be sharing more of, soon. I’m wearing a size four in this dress, but have it clipped (a little fun behind the scenes info for ya!) in the back. I will be taking it to get properly altered ASAP so I can wear it out and about. I’m usually around a two and would say this dress fits true to size because that seems like what I needed.
This weekend was Charles’s bachelor party. He went down to Austin with a big group of friends, so I had the weekend with Maddie. I was out of town during the day Friday to go to Arkansas and back for a memorial service, so I ended up in bed right after getting back around 9:30. Being that it was a whirlwind road trip, I ate fast food twice on Friday– which is more than I typically eat it in a month. So, I was exhausted and not feeling so hot by the time I got home. Thanks to a friend picking up Maddie from day care and hanging with her for a bit, I was able to still come home to puppy snuggles, which always turns around a long day! Saturday I was still pretty exhausted, but forced myself to work out for a bit that morning, ran a few errands, then took Maddie to the dog park and gave her a bath. I started Billions that evening, ordered Thai takeout, and was in bed at 10:00. Sunday was also full of productivity doing lots of blog work, cleaning the whole apartment, and laundry. I needed a weekend with little to know plans to just relax, catch up on sleep, and get some work done for this week so I don’t have so many late nights. I haven’t had in off weekend in a while, so this one was just what I needed! Hope you all had an amazing weekend whatever you did. XO
