Boston Outfit Recap

BOSTON OUTFIT RECAP

As you all probably know if you’re following along on Instagram, I spent the weekend before last with my husband in Boston. I shared my Boston travel guide the morning after I got back from the trip (gotta love a productive flight home c/o of onboard wifi), but did not share a break down of all of my outfits with you yet. I’ve been sharing my city guides with recommendations for where to stay, where to eat, and what to do separate from everything I wore when visiting so that you all can easily find and re-reference what you want. Today, I’m finally sharing my Boston outfit recap with you all! I apologize for the week delay, but last week was hands down my busiest work week in as long as I can remember, so I got a bit behind. A Lo Profile wearing black skinny jeans with a raw hem, a white t-shirt, and a Paige denim moto jacket with white espadrille sneakers for a casual travel style look.

I wore this look for my flight into Boston. I’ve worn some version of this look to travel in countless times. I almost always travel with a jean jacket because I get so easily cold, so I like to have one to layer with. This is my favorite t-shirt that I own two of in each color. These espadrille sneakers are so comfortable, too! This pair of casual espadrilles is so cute and would be perfect for summer travel or walking around a city, too.

I wore this look out and about on Friday. It was raining on and off, so I threw on this trench + rain jacket with a removable hood over my outfit because it was pretty chilly and I didn’t want to have to carry an umbrella that day. I snagged this trench right after it was marked down and it was SUCH a good purchase. This was a perfect look for exploring the streets of Boston and getting my lobster roll fix. We went by the most amazing used book store, went to see one of the oldest streets in America in the cutest neighborhood and stumbled upon an adorable flower shop on the way back to our hotel.

I wore this jumpsuit on Friday night for dinner and drinks. I absolutely love this jumpsuit! It’s such a great, silky fabric and is so comfortable. I got a few questions about sizing on this and to me, it fits TTS. I got a size 2, as I often need a size up if between sizes because I have a long torso. This has a belt that comes with it, which makes the sizing easily adjustable. I paired it with these comfy wedges and my black blazer again because it was chilly outside. I wanted a little contrast from the black, so I added a grey bag and statement earrings. You can’t see them in this picture well, but they are a multi colored pair that I actually got before going to Miami and I am absolutely obsessed with them!

I was in need of some new rain gear and this trip to Boston was the perfect excuse since I knew we’d be walking around and both Friday and Saturday had rain on and off in the forecast. I love a classic neutral trench and this one is light weight enough that I’ll be able to wear it year round depending on how I layer under it. Plus, it was on major sale. I got this cute umbrella, too. It has little black rain drops all over it and says ‘rain check’ randomly on it. I also love this ‘rain check’ one, but it wouldn’t have been as easy for traveling. I’ve always loved a classic trench and white jeans, so I threw this pair in and kept the rest of the look neutral. It was an easy outfit for walking around and exploring on Saturday.

Not pictured here is my trench coat I was wearing over this because it was super cold and raining. So cold that I forgot to adjust my jumpsuit before I took the pic. The pants are actually longer on me when it’s not so bunched up around my waist, but I was freezing to get the pic, so I was definitely hurrying! I love this jumpsuit though. It’s so effortless and easy. I dressed it up with wedges because we were going to a nice dinner and to grab drinks, but it looks so cute dressed down with sandals or sneakers, too. It’s been selling out quick, so I’ve linked it above to a few different retailers and included the cute pants version. I layered a few necklaces with it and kept my accessories rather simple with my go to espadrille wedges and a coordinating circle bag.

I wore this easy little outfit on Sunday morning when the weather was finally nice! We grabbed brunch and walked around Cambridge to explore Harvard. It’s such a beautiful campus there! I wanted to add a little something ‘extra’ to this look, so I threw on this leopard hand band. I totally consider leopard a neutral, but it always adds a fun touch to a look. This tie tank is the softest thing ever and is so comfortable. It comes in a few colors and is a great price point, especially because its one of those pieces you want to wear again and again.

It doesn’t get much easier for a travel look than this. I’ve posted this blue tie dyed sweatshirt before, but I just love it so much that I keep wearing it. It’s one of my go to comfy pieces. I wear it at least once a week! It looks cute with jeans or shorts. This weekender bag is perfect for throwing all my extra stuff in to when I’m trying to fit in a carry on. I like to always keep my make up and tolietries with me, so I put those in here with my hair tools, my computer and electronics, a book, and my purse.

I hope you all enjoyed the breakdown of all my outfits for Boston. I kept it decently casual and embraced the rainy weather. Be sure to check out my Boston travel guide if you are headed there soon for all my recommendations on where to stay, where to eat and drink, and what to do! I’m still dreaming of all of the amazing seafood, particularly the lobster rolls, we had while we were there! XO
