The three things I like to splurge on most frequently are handbags, sunglasses, and denim. While they are three very different items or accessories, the reason I like splurging on them is the same: CPW or cost per wear. I talk about CPW constantly here on A Lo Profile and if you are unfamiliar with it, using this mindset in your daily life will change the way you think and shop. Let’s say you buy a pair of $200 jeans and you wear them 100+ times. That means the jeans really only cost you $2 per wear. Thinking in these terms help you realize what is worth splurging on. Because denim is one of the best CPW items, I wanted to talk about F/W splurge worthy denim today. Be sure to scroll down because I’m rounding up tons of great options for you to shop! Last week I shared my picks for F/W denim under $100. I shared so many amazing pieces that are perfect for any girl on a budget. I consider myself a huge denim junkie and borderline collector, so I like denim in all price ranges and styles. While I love finding a good deal on denim, jeans are also something that is hands down worth a splurge to me! A good pair of jeans makes your outfit and can transform the way you feel. I think it essential to update your denim in your wardrobe a few times a year to keep your outfits feeling fresh.
Whenever I need new denim, I like to go to a one stop shop where I know I will find a good pair (or two or three). Nordstrom is my go to department store and I can always find a new pair of jeans here. I love ordering them online and then either having them same-day delivered from my local store or doing curb side pick up. If they don’t work, its so easy to return or exchange them, but I often have the opposite problem where I find too many that I want to keep!

Can we take a little time and talk about this sweater? I love it so much! The tie detail is too fun. I kinda dressed it down here, but also styled it with a dressier black bootie this past week for a night out. It looks so cute with over-the-knee boots, too! Its only $55 which is too good to pass up if you ask me. I bought these booties months ago and have worn them countless times (as you may have noticed). They are so comfortable and help dress-up your casual looks a little. I can seriously wear them all day and night without feeling uncomfortable.
I hope you all had a great weekend! Ours was wonderful. We had a good mix of fun, productivity, and relaxation. Which, if you’ve been reading for a little bit, you’re probably noticing is my favorite sort of weekend. We almost have our apartment in order, but are waiting on a quite a few backordered furniture items to really get it finished. Decorating is such a fun process to me! I’ll be sharing some of it with you all, soon and will be doing a full home tour when it is finished.
Even though it was about ninety degrees in Texas yesterday, we were feeling Fall and made a big pot of chili using my recipe that you can find here. We subbed sweet potatoes for meat and used beans! We’ve been trying to choose fish or veggies over meat more and more and my husband even said “I don’t even miss the meat.” Love that! I also made a big batch of cornbread dressing for a Friendsgiving that I have this evening. Stay tuned for that recipe, and more new ones, soon! Hope all of your weeks get off to a great start. XO
