I am oh so excited to share today’s post with you all! Do you all ever find yourselves going through phases with clothing or accessories? I definitely do. With jewelry, I go back and forth between loving statement pieces or liking more layered, dainty jewelry. Right now, I’m in more of a dainty phase. I love layering more dainty or simple pieces like I did in this look here. Today’s post is all about jewelry for summer!
The pieces I’m wearing here are all from the Kendra Scott Summer Collection. I layered three of their gold necklaces and paired them with a simple matching earring. I haven’t taken these earrings off since I got them! I absolutely love them. They also come in rose gold and silver. I have two piercings in both of my ears and I am thinking of getting a second pair in rose gold to layer or wear both colors at a time. Is it weird I’ve been wanting a third ear piercing in both ears? That’d make one for each decade I’ve been alive! I’m thinking I just need to go for it, soon.
All three of the necklaces are adjustable, so you can layer them how you want. I’ve switched up and made the bar one more of a choker the past few days and worn the small pendant that matches my earrings a little longer, which gives it a different feel that I love. Each of the KS pieces I’m wearing are a great price point, too. Since they are all pieces you can mix and match and wear daily, I think they are a great value because of their CPW (cost per wear). The lace cami I’m wearing is probably one of my best purchases because I wear it at least once a week. This white blazer has been a favorite recent purchase, too. I also styled it with a skirt in a look featuring tons of great spring neutral staple pieces.
I had the pleasure of hearing Kendra Scott speak at the RewardStyle Conference a few weekends ago. You guys, I adore her. Her story is amazing, she is beyond adorable, and she was such an inspiration to hear speak. I truly felt so lucky to have the opportunity to collaborate her initially, but then hearing her speak only increased that! A few of my favorite takeaways from her talk were
“NO” IS MERELY A SUGGESTION.
She shared how when she first started making jewelry that she was told no, a lot. She took that as a way to improve, do something different, and as motivation to keep trying. She could have just given up, but she kept going. She was so adorable in sharing that “No” in the mirror is “On” and that can just help you be a little more on your game when you try again.
FAKE IT TIL’ YOU MAKE IT.
She said when Nordstrom would call they would ask to speak to her shipping department, and since she started out doing everything from her house, she’d put Nordstrom on hold and call out “Mom, Nordstrom’s on the phone” and her mom would answer in the dining room and say “Hi, Kendra Scott shipping.” I mean, amazing.
DO GOOD.
I love this because giving back is so important to me personally. I personally love the causes of children with Autism (because of how it relates to my day job) and local animal rescue organizations. Kendra talked about how doing good should be the center of your mindset and that you should let your core values be your North Star. Staying true to yourself and what you believe in will always take you far.
STAND OUT.
She talked about how if you do what everyone else is doing that you’ve already failed. She was telling us about how she used to send cupcakes to the buyers at Nordstrom or other stores to say thank you or to grab their attention. This is something I always love to do! Saying thank you to those who help you along the way is always important. Plus, like most southern girls, she believed that the best way to someone’s heart is through their stomachs. I couldn’t agree more! This was the inspiration for me behind some of these photos with cute baked goods. I’m sure you were wondering how baked goods and jewelry were related? They both are little things that can brighten your day and it was a fun takeaway from Kendra Scott’s speech at the conference. Not only does she make beautiful jewelry, but she is a boss babe, stunning inside and out, and a total inspiration.
Collaborating with Kendra Scott was definitely a pinch me moment for me and I have been so excited to share this post with you all! I know you all will be able to find something from their Summer collection that you love weather you are into statement pieces at the moment or prefer dainty pieces and whether you love color or good ole gold, silver, or rose gold. Beautiful jewelry makes for such a perfect gift and I think the price point of Kendra Scott’s pieces allow their to be something for everyone!

Aren’t there so many amazing pieces? I love all the shell earrings. Turquoise and greens are always some of my favorite jewelry for summer because they add a perfect pop of color to a white dress or other every day looks!
Kendra Scott also has gifts for the home, nail polish (it’s 5 free and made in the same place Chanel is), and just launched an amazing candle collection, so be sure to check them all out if you need more cute gift ideas. Happy shopping my friends! XO
