Master Bedroom Reveal

Spending all of this time at home has really made us want to tackle some home projects, finish decorating a few spaces, & finally work on our outdoor area in our back yard. In the midst of all of this nesting, I realized that I had not shared our master bedroom with you all. Today, I’m finally sharing our master bedroom reveal.

Sharing our master bedroom reveal including where we got everything in our master bedroom & a little more about the styling of it.

Master Bedroom Reveal

I’ll note that this room doesn’t quite feel ‘finished’ to me & that no space ever really does, as I am constantly finding new pieces that I love & rearranging things. I do this most often with table tops based on little decor items I find. The side table in our master bedroom has never felt quite right to me, so this is the main space that doesn’t quite feel finished just yet. I didn’t want to keep putting off our master bedroom reveal until this is finished, so I figured I would ago head & share it now & I can update it later.

Bed & Bedding

We have had this bed frame for a few years. It’s a great neutral & is really pretty. Truth be told, I would love a canopy bed, but our room isn’t really big enough for that to work. I am always on the hunt for a bed I feel I can’t live without for our bedroom, but in the mean time I’ve loved this one & we’ll probably keep it for a few more years. I first posted about it a few years ago when shared our bedroom refresh with Overstock. We updated some items that we both previously had & picked out a bed & some bedside tables together to make it feel a little more up to date!

I shared in our guest bedroom reveal that I almost always get white bedding. Honestly, I don’t remember the last time I had anything else. Probably in high school & into college when I had deep blue bedding with light blue walls. I’ll have to try to dig up a photo of that because it’s truly something. I digress. Despite having two dogs & my husband often asking if we can switch to any other color of bedding except for white, I keep coming back to white. I just love how clean & inviting it feels. It’s calming & reminds me of a hotel getaway. I ensure we get washable duvet covers so that we can use whitening boosters & wash it every other week to get off anything the dogs track in. This one has held up really well, but I do like to refresh what style of white bedding we get & end up getting a new duvet cover & sham every two years or so. I just ordered this linen bedding that I can’t wait to get in. Like our current bedding, it’s from West Elm. They are my go to for bedding! It’s great quality & a good price. Plus, they have a ton of organic & sustainable options, which I love. I think the linen will be perfect for spring & summer! I’ll snap some updated pics of that once we get it in. We use these amazing Amazon sheets & I probably get new ones once or twice a year. They have the best reviews, come in just about every color, & the price is insane.

Bedside Tables

Oh myyy I could not love our bedside tables more. I wanted them since the first time I saw them. We used to have these bedside tables that you may recall from the last time I shared our bedroom just after we got married that I loved. However, when we moved in our new house they were just too deep for the space & were block the entrance to our bathroom door. This was my excuse to finally pull the trigger on these amazing burlwood tables that I had been wanting. I loved the style of them with the opening, but still having a drawer for storage. The lucite drawer handle adds a modern touch that I love, too! I ordered them from Mintwood Home & they have seriously brought a smile to my face every day since.

The black marble lamps on the bedside table actually used to be in my Cloffice. Well, one of them was & then I ordered another one & put them in our bedroom. We used to have these white marble ones that I loved, but I felt like I wanted something darker on our bedside tables to tie in the black from other parts of the room. We love how they look! I styled them with some cute little bud vases, an acrylic & gold picture frame, some of our favorite candles, & some fun coasters.

Dresser

I ordered this dresser the day we closed on our house. I had spotted it a few months prior & absolutely loved it. I loved the black metal & the gold contrast. It’s industrial, but modern & chic. They also make bedside tables & a console table in this same style. I kept the styling of our dresser relatively simple with a round mirror above it & then a mirrored tray, some coffee table books (always), & a vase with some dried pampas grass. I’ve restyled the tray a few times in the past year, but I love how it’s feeling right now. I’ve played around with the idea of leaning a piece of art or something (really love this one) on it or replacing the mirror with a larger piece of art if something really speaks to me. For now, I love it though!

Accessories

I wanted a chair in the corner of the room & absolutely love this one. It ties everything in the space together really well. The round table next to it is the perfect addition, but styling this table has been the death of me. It sounds so silly, but I’ve restyled it probably twenty times & it still doesn’t feel right. This is the space I was referencing at the beginning of the post that was making me hold off on sharing our master bedroom reveal with you all up until now. It will feel right one day & when it does, I will share. If you have any suggestions, send them my way!

On the same wall as the accent chair next to Charles’s side of the bed we have a full length mirror. I didn’t want to force any photos or anything & make the space feel overdone, so we went with a mirror. When in doubt, I feel like that always works & helps make any space feel bigger.

On the other wall, next to my side of the bed & on the same wall as the ensuite bathroom door, are four photos from our wedding weekend in Florence that we had framed via Framebridge. I love how these turned out & having them in our bedroom is the perfect spot to look back on our wedding!

The rug & pillows in our room are neutral, but add some texture. I really feel like both tie everything in together so well! The front accent pillow & the rug especially match so well! They are both actually from Anthropologie, so perhaps they were meant to be styled together. I like that it all coordinates, without feeling too matchy. I really wanted to keep our bedroom neutral so it was calming! It very much feels that way for us. Our light fixture is via Lights Fantastic here in Dallas.

Probably the accessory I am asked about the most is the neon sign above our bed. We got it via this Etsy shop. It’s actually more of an LED light I guess, but has the neon sign vibe. You can customize the font, color, & text. I chose this one to fit perfectly across the length of our king side bed in a neutral, white color. It says, ‘We were together. I forget the rest.’ It’s so true for the one that you love & I knew I wanted this saying for above our bed. The space between our bed frame & the ceiling wasn’t too big, so this was a perfect way to fill it without forcing something.
