Start of Summer: Neutral Lace Dress

You all know I love my neutrals and this outfit pulls together so much of what I love about Summer. This light peach color paired with white accessories just screams Summer to me. Today marks the start of my Summer (read more about that at the bottom of the post) and this neutral lace dress will for sure get lots of wear throughout the next few months. If you follow me on Instagram, then you may recall I wore a similar version of this dress, with a little more color in it, for Easter which you can see & shop here. I got it again in another color because I love the fit of it. It’s such a flirty and feminine silhouette and is really comfortable! I’m wearing an XS for reference.

This dress would be perfect for a Summer wedding, a bridal shower, or for a night out paired with sandals or wedges to dress it down a little. I paired it with statement earrings and these clear & gold sunnies for a more fun look. I bought these sunnies before my trip to Palm Springs last month and have been wearing them so much since then. I love the how fun the clear lucite frame is, but that the gold adds a little bit of glam. They are under $90 too, so they aren’t too crazy of a splurge, especially when you consider the cost-per-wear for sunglasses!

Today marks the official start to my Summer vacation! Well, after I make it through the work day any ways. Two blissful months free from the day-to-day work. I’m really excited for all the time off to focus on some blog projects that I’ve been waiting to have more time for, after I return from my honeymoon of course! I’m relieved to have the next two weeks before we leave for our wedding off. There seems like there is so much to do between fitting in tons of appointments & other things before being gone for three weeks. I’ve never felt so high maintenance before and have some sort of beauty related appointment almost every day before I leave! This week I have my appointment for Global Entry approval, a dress fitting, a Lightroom night class, two photo shoots, a hair appointment, teeth whitening, my microblading touch up, and two blog-related meetings/events. I shared some of my pre-wedding skin care regime in this post before, but will be sharing an update of what I’ll be doing just before I leave for our wedding and everything I’ve done to (try and) whip myself into shape before.

This weekend was another relaxing one. We spent some time at the pool both days, took Maddie to play at the park, cooked, cleaned, and did some wedding planning. I am so glad we kept our schedule pretty clear in the weeks leading up to our wedding. Even things we did have, we have decided not to attend because we just wanted time to get things done and relax before we leave for so long. I also want to get in all the puppy snuggles I can before I am away from Maddie for so long. She is going to a trainer while we are gone. I hope you all had an amazing weekend and that your week is off to a great start! XO
