2019 NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE
In case you’re new to following along with me either on Instagram or here on the blog, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is hands down one of my favorite sales of the entire year. It’s just around the corner, so I thought I’d touch base with you all about it in case you aren’t familiar with why this sale is such a big deal & why it’s helpful to prioritize shopping it. Today, I’m breaking down the everything you need to know for the 2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and how you can start prepping to score some major deals.
WHAT IS THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a sale unlike any other. It’s basically a few week long sale that is broken down into two categories: early access & public access. I’m sharing a little bit more about each of these below and how to ensure that you get early access!
WHY THE HYPE?
I love the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale because it’s one of the only sales that you can shop items before a season starts. Anything I’ve ever bought from the sale I start mixing into my wardrobe how I can when I get it & then I keep wearing it for months to come as the seasons change. This means everything will have a great CPW (cost per wear) value. This sale also includes so many of my favorite designers and brands. It’s a great time to stock up on tons of items.
IMPORTANT SALE DATES
Mark your calendars with the below dates, as they are all important sale dates that you need to know and be strategic about when shopping the N Sale!
July 11th @ 12:30 EST: Early Access Begins online for Level Icon & Ambassador cardholders
July 12th @ 12:30 EST: Early Access begins online for all other cardholders
July 18th: Last Day of Early Access
July 19th: Public Access Begins
August 4th: Last Day of the Sale
Prices go back up after August 4th, so if you are eyeing something and think you will want it for Fall, go ahead and grab it. Last year after the sale ended, I unfortunately bought some things at full price that I could have scored major deals on during the sale but waited around too long.
HOW TO PREP
First thing’s first; if you want to get early access, you need to be a Nordstrom card holder. Credit cards are obviously a personal decision, but I got my Nordstrom card for the sole purpose of this sale a few years ago & use it to get the great rewards they offer you as a card holder. I shop at Nordstrom a lot, so the card make sense for me to have, especially because I am sure to pay it off in full each month. If you apply for a Nordstrom credit card before the sale & are approved, you’ll receive a $40 Nordstrom Note (aka a rewards certificate or gift card) if you spend $100 on the day you are approved. You can also sign up the day of the sale and use it immediately. I did this two years ago! There is no annual fee on the card and you earn 2 points for every $1 you spend at Nordstrom.
Another way to prep is to go ahead & start eyeing what you want no matter when you’ll be able to shop. Nordstrom just released their Anniversary Sale catalog, so you can click that link to see some of the items that will be on sale. I prep by making a list of what I want. The best way to make a wishlist is in the Liketoknow.it app.l You can add things that your favorite influencers share & then when things are live or restocked (hopefully) you can grab them easily.
The catalog is just an overview of the sale, but I am already SO excited about so many of the things featured. The sale includes every women’s category including beauty, shoes, jeans, clothing, accessories, and more. It also includes mens items in every category and tons of home items, too. I love helping my husband stock up on some items during this time, too. We were just about to buy him some jeans the other day a& he said, “I’d rather just wait until the Nordstrom Sale.” Seriously. Smart guy! haha Really, I’m a little nervous about all the goodness I see in the catalog because I know I am about go HAM on some Fall shopping. Too much good stuff and Fall clothing and shopping is always my favorite.
YOUR GO TO SOURCE
I will be posting all the best deals from the Nordstrom Sale starting shortly after it goes live. I do frequent posts broken down by category including shoes, beauty, fitness, and more. I’ll not only be sharing lots of great blog posts, collages, & Instagram posts and stories, but I’ll also be sharing exclusive content in the LikeToKnow. It app, so make sure you are following me in there, too. I’ll be sharing the best of, but don’t plan to be overwhelming. I want you all to get the pieces you’ll get good use out of & not just be blowing money on every little thing just because it’s on sale.
I have so many great ideas for the sale this year that I can’t wait to share with you all. I am still wearing purchases from last year’s sale constantly, so I know that you’ll be able to find some great pieces you’ll get tons of great use out of. I want to be your go to source for all the best sale finds, so be sure to check back often here on the blog and on social media (including Pinterest)!
KEEPIN’ IT REAL
To be 100% transparent, you’ll see a ton of bloggers promoting this sale, because it tends to be a higher earning time for us. I have no shame in sharing that & always want to be open with you all about these things, so I think that’s important so share. There are so many people shopping this sale & doing all of their Fall shopping during this time, which results in more commissions earned for us. Whenever you click on a product or store link from my site, I use affiliate links whenever I can, which means that your purchase results in a small commission for me. This is how I monetize my blog & really, how I keep it going. Shopping through my blog, social media, & my links means you are supporting me & my blog which really means so much to me. While the Nordstrom Sale is typically a higher earning time for bloggers, it’s also a crazy time full of lots of hard work & long hours.
Mark your calendars, save up, & get ready to shop, shop, shop in a little over a week. I can’t wait! XO
