If you all have read some of my previous A Lo Abode posts, then you’ve probably read that I have been approaching our house with the bigger items first and then taking it room by room to accessorize and put in final touches. I wanted to get my Cloffice (Closet + Office) done first, so that I could get back into the swing of things with the blog after moving and feel more motivated than ever. With this being my priority, I wanted to go ahead and design my closet shelving and to pick out my office furniture.
As soon as I saw this spare fourth bedroom/office I got a vision for what I wanted for the space. I knew I wanted closet shelving all around and to float furniture in the middle. This way, I could easily see everything I had and be inspired by it to create outfits and looks. I wanted a simple desk I could float in the middle and an ottoman or bench I could use for seating as needed. I wanted things to be mostly neutral, with some sort of pop of color and some moody touches to contrast all of the bright white.
I reached out to Safavieh as soon as we had secured our home because I adored them and knew I wanted some of their pieces. I thought it would be the perfect collaboration! Every time I’ve furniture shopped, I have found pieces from them that I’ve wanted. I’ve had some of their pieces before and just kept finding more that I loved!
You probably know Safavieh for their rugs. While they do have one of the largest rug archives in the world and create designer quality rugs, they also have gorgeous furniture and accessories. Safavieh manufactures everything from accent furniture to statement and every day pieces that match any style. My desk, chair, area rug, lamp, ottoman, accent rug, and pendant light are all via Safavieh! I am so obsessed with how it all came together and am so happy each and every time I walk into this space. I instantly feel calm, inspired, and motivated.
QUALITY AT A GOOD PRICE
What I love most about Safavieh is that they have amazing quality furniture at prices that work for every budget and design project. Safavieh is a family-owned business whose history in the home decor business dates back more than 100 years. Thirty years ago Safavieh opened in the U.S. with one showroom on Madison Avenue. Today they are an industry leading manufacturer, distributor and retailer with over two million feet of warehouse space and manufacturing facilities on three continents. For four generations, the Safavieh brand has strived to provide uncompromising quality and value. They focus on creating high-styled, inspirational pieces for consumers at every price point. This is so key to me in wanting to partner with them. Decorating a home is expensive and I don’t think that you should have to sacrifice quality or style for your budget. Safavieh is a brand that helps ensure that is the case!
I am working on a few other details for my cloffice and will be sharing the full reveal with you all, soon. I was hoping to have already have it finished, but I don’t want to rush it! I think that good interior decor & design that works best is done over time and is not completed all in one week or weekend. Finding how accessories work and come together takes time and a lot of shopping around! Plus, I like to see how a room comes together as I add more pieces before I decide what else it needs to feel finished.
I am the type that will always be rearranging vignettes, coffee table books, and accessories so I know that I’ll never be one-hundred percent finished with each space. If I see some cute home accessory that I am in love with I’ll get it and make it work wherever I can in our home. That sometimes means rearranging other spaces or rooms! I just have a few other things I think I’ll be doing in the Cloffice for now and will share it in the next few weeks! In the mean time, you can catch up on my other home posts by seeing our home mood board and my closet design process all about the shelving in this space.
I’ll probably be rearranging my shoe shelves shortly, because I just got several news pairs of spring shoes as a part of the Buy More, Save More sale that one of my favorite retailers is currently having. They extended the sale to 03/04, so don’t miss out on the chance to stock up on cute clothing for spring at a deal! I loaded up on some cute swimwear and activewear! It’s just too good to pass up. Happy shopping! XO
