I am finally sharing more home photos with you all today! If you follow along on Instagram, then you’ve seen a few snippets of our downstairs. I was waiting on the arrival of a big mirror for our dining area before shooting the rest of the downstairs to share with all of you and it finally arrived, so I’ll have the other tours up, soon! I wanted to share our kitchen and then the areas around it with you all today. Up next will be my living area and then our dining room! Keep scrolling down to get all the details on our kitchen decor.

It feels so nice to have our place completed. I don’t know that I’ve ever had a place feel truly decorated. I look at decor as a constantly evolving process. If I find something I absolutely love, no matter how big or small, then I’m going to get it and find a place for it. I also love to switch up little things here and there to make a space feel fresh. Something as simple as switching out your coffee table books or adding a plant can make a space feel different!

Our kitchen in our current place is smaller than our last one, so we had to get creative with the use of space. I’m really organized, so that came in handy here to make sure that all of our storage space was maximized and that everything is easily accessible.

I love having a table in the entry way for keys, mail, etc. so I turned our non-existant space into a functional one by adding this small pedestal table, hooks, and a mirror for decor. We keep Maddie’s leashes on the hooks, put our keys there when we get home, and keep her doors underneath. I found the copper dog bowls and had to get them, as we have a lot of copper accents in our kitchen and loved that they matched!

Our lucite bar stools are c/o Lamps Plus. Did you all know that they have tons of adorable furniture and home decor items?! Seriously so many cute things and great prices. I love that the lucite makes the space feel more open since you can see through it. We have some lucite accents in our living room, so it all nicely ties together.

To give us a little more functional space in our kitchen, we added these shelves to one wall. The wood matches the wood of our dining table just on the other side of the bar space. We added fresh herbs in these adorable little containers to bring the space alive a little more and plus, we use them regularly in cooking and love having them on hand! Having fresh flowers and real plants around our home brings so much more life into it, which I love. I’ve been working on switching out any faux plants or flowers around our place for real ones, because they just make the space happier to me!

The little quote in the black frame on the top shelf says: “This morning with her. Having Coffee” -Johnny Cash when asked for his description of paradise. It’s one of my favorites and my husband and I both love Johhny Cash, so its a sweet little print to have framed.

This is a little preview of our pantry that I organized to ensure we used all of the space well and could find everything as we needed it. I got the baskets, labels, and food storage containers from The Container Store aka my heaven. I get into so much trouble there, but everything is so functional and just makes my life feel more in order, so I don’t care. I know when we have our own house with a pantry that it will be even more organized, because it will be a longer term space. I made sure to buy things that I would use again in a larger space!

We needed a place for all of our bar glasses, so we organized them on this shelf, then styled coffee table books, a photo from when we got engaged, a succulent, and that fun piggy bank around them. The cabinets below contain all of our beer glasses and other bar glasses or accessories. This shelf is to the left of our kitchen counter, but faces into the dining area, so it’s in a perfect spot for barware! I also love having a spot to hold on to all of our corks. I don’t hold on to much, but I love keep corks, because they are a representation of so much whether it’s relaxing at home after a long day or a celebration of something.

The gorgeous wedding white acrylic box with the insanely beautiful pyrite stone on top is c/o Rox. Their pieces are so unique and would make perfect gifts for anyone!  They have everything from decorative objects to napkin rings to trays, photo frames, and jewelry boxes. Check out all their amazing pieces here. I was so obsessed with this box that I made it the focal point for these shelves and it makes me smile every time I look at it. I stored some of our pretty coasters in it to make it functional, too.

We utilized a bar car on the other side of the kitchen to hold some more glasses, like our Moscow Mule mugs, and to hold all of our wine, liquor, and mixers. I think bar carts are so fun to restyle and switch up! I’m constantly rearranging ours. Even switching up the little saying on our felt letter board gives it an easy update! The photo above our bar cart is one of my favorite classic photos and to me, is the perfect photo for this spot. The cute sparkly wine and champagne bottles are c/o One Hope. They are delicious and make the perfect bar decor! I love giving these bottles for gifts because they are so festive!

This area leads into our dining room/living room, which I’ll be sharing, soon. We utilized these foot stools and a basket to hold blankets to fill this space, but to also ensure it was functional to hold extra living room seating options.

Stay tuned for the rest of our home decor, coming soon! In case you missed our bedroom reveal, you can check that out here. Hope you all have a wonderful start to your week! XO
