Put yo hood up -

I love clothing with a hood. It’s like a little added accessory that instantly gives any piece a cool factor. I got this little black hooded dress when I was in Brazil this summer and was drawn to it simply because of the hood. I loved wearing it for a date night and added a classic wool camel jacket to keep me warm. It’s also so fun dressed down with flat booties and military or bomber jacket. Oh, and lets talk about this necklace and the fact that I couldn’t help myself when Olivia Palermo collaborated with Bauble Bar. I mean, no brainer. I’m plotting which one I’m getting next before they all sell out.

Fun (and completely embarrassing) fact: I am an undeniable rap/hip hop music fan and have been as long as I can remember. Lil Jon & The East Side Boys song ‘Put yo hood up’ was one of my favorites when it came out. Ya, imagine a painfully awkward middle school girl trying to rap to this intense Lil Jon song. I’ll blame (or give my gratitude) to my big brother for exposing me to that. You’re welcome for that mental image of the adolescent me rapping.
