Friday Favorites: Color Crush

I’ve got a crush. It’s bad, y’all. I shared this as one of seven trends for Fall, but it needs its own post. One, because this jumpsuit gives me life and two, because you need some red in your wardrobe! I wear red every Saturday to support my college football team, the Arkansas Razorbacks, but this year everyone is on board. It’s Fall’s biggest color and I love seeing it every where. I think the key is just to go for it. Be bold, be monochrome, use it as a statement piece. However you incorporate red, just do it! For Today’s Friday Favorites post, I’m talking about my red color crush, sharing a little about this jumpsuit, and of course sharing a ton of great red clothing options for you all to shop!

First, let’s talk about this jumpsuit. I saw it and wondered if it was a little too much. Then I kept seeing red everywhere and was drawn back to it time and time again. It was the perfect statement piece for fashion week and would be amazing for a bachelorette party, a night out, etc. You can easily put a bandeau under it to make it a little more conservative, too! The fabric is sort of a scuba type with so much give that makes it so dang comfortable. I seriously could lounge around in this thing all day long! It also has removable shoulder pads in it, but I loved the way it made fit, so I rocked them. I kept the rest of the look simple and went with a simple block heel (my favorite that is under $100, so comfy, and comes in like 20 colors), a classic leather bag, and my favorite statement sunnies. I went with a layered gold necklace over earrings. I love the way red and gold look together, so this one was just what I was looking for!

There are a few other colors out right now that I am loving and will share with you all soon, but I had to start with red. It’s such a vibrant, show stopping, powerful color and I am oh so happy it’s trending right now.

I’d love to hear if you love red or if you prefer to be more reserved. You all likely know that I gravitate towards neutrals, but NYFW really brought me away from that and you all seemed to love it! I seem to go through phases of loving or avoiding brighter colors and this is definitely a time I’m feeling them.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! We have a wedding here in town that was moved from Houston due to all of the flooding after the hurricane. Tonight, my husband has planned a little date for us before we meet some friends out. I have a few errands to run on Saturday before the wedding and will likely spend Sunday catching up on blog posts for the week. Hopefully its a good mix of productivity and fun– my favorite kind of weekend! XO
