Time to #treatyoself

Do you ever have weeks where you just need some retail therapy? The workouts, the wine, the meditation, the night out, or whatever your usual coping strategies are just aren’t working and you think its time to #treatyoself. I love setting and attaining goals. When I see something I want, if it isn’t an essential, I like to keep it in mind and work towards it for an occasion– even if its a little one. This has been a busy month at work for me, so I have a super cute pair of shoes (or two) picked out that I want to buy for myself. Its’ so fun to look forward to them and to know that you earned them! Whenever you wear that item you’ll think of the accomplishment– no matter how big or how small– that it represents. Today, I’m talking about shopping for gifts with Nordstrom.

I gift myself all sorts of little things. Sometimes on Fridays I like a new candle to burn throughout the weekend. Others, I like a cute new home decor piece, skincare, makeup, or a clothing item. Every now and then a down-right splurge worthy option is in order, too! My go to place for gifts is Nordstrom. I talked about them when shopping for Valentine’s day earlier this month (see that post here) and wanted to share that just because there isn’t a big gift-giving national holiday around the corner, doesn’t mean that you should forget about giving gifts- whether its for yourself or for someone else!

I love Nordstrom because of their selection and convenience. I shop most often online and then do in store or curbside pickup! It’s so easy and I love that I don’t have to park and run in the mall on a busy day. They will even bring you out gift boxes if you need them or wrap your items for you! Such a time saver!

I personally have a few friends who are getting married or having babies soon so I know shower gifts, gifts for the brides and new mamas, and cute clothes for babies are in my future. I also love buying little things for my friends when they either buy a new home or I visit them!  I am rounding up some of my favorite gifts for several occasions all available from Nordstrom for you all to shop below. My favorite occasion to give a gift? No occasion at all. I love to send my friends little ‘happies’ and let them know I am thinking of them. Whether it’s a box of cute candy, a candle, or something else I know they’ll love, its such an easy way to bring a smile to someone else’s face! I love doing this for my husband, too. No reason presents are always a win in my book!

Let’s talk about my look really quick. If you missed yesterday’s post, then you missed my fair warning that I LOVE stripes, particularly blue and white stripes, when the weather starts to warm up. I can’t get enough of them! This look is no exception. this short sleeve top is versatile and so easy to throw on. It comes in a few color options, too. These wedges are from last year, but they were so popular they made an almost exact version this year! They are so comfortable, too. If you’re in need of an everyday necklace, this layered one has been my go to. It’d actually make a great gift for yourself or someone else.
