When the cooler temps hit and we start grabbing our Fall clothing, we tend to push bolder colors aside. I always gravitate towards neutrals like white, gray, and black and it seems thats the case even more so in the cooler months. I love anything unexpected and I think a bold color sweater in the cooler months is just that. I love that you can lighten up your wardrobe with bold color statement sweaters. It really can brighten up an otherwise dreary Fall or Winter day! I like to keep it simple and wear my statement sweaters with jeans.

Blue and green are two of my favorite colors, so I wanted to share these sweaters with you all first. The blue one is lighter weight and the softest thing ever. It comes in a few other colors. The green one is a little thicker and oversized, which makes it so cozy! Which one is your favorite?

Another fun way to style your colorful statement sweater is with a leather mini skirt and over-the-knee boots to edge it up a little. When it gets colder, layering a black leather jacket over any of them would look great, too!

This weekend we started packing up our current apartment. We are moving to a large one that is two story and on the side of town where we think we’ll end up buying a house. I’ll be even closer to work which is great! It also has white cabinets inside, which I love much more than the brown we’ve had the past two years. It feels so much more homey to me! While the process of moving is not fun, I love that it forces us to go through everything. We got a lot of new things for our wedding, so there was a lot we could get rid of. We are donating all of our old dishes and cookware to an amazing nonprofit restaurant here in Dallas called Cafe Momentum that helps at-risk youth who have spent time in juvenile detention centers. It helps teach them so many amazing skills and help them turn their lives around! Once we get settled in our new place I’ll be doing an entire home tour and sharing everything with you all. We plan to stay here while we save for a house and hopefully the next time we move it will be into a home!
