SUMMER ESSENTIALS
A cami top and a blazer are hands down two of the pieces of clothing out of which I get the most use. You can style them together or separately countless ways. I love wearing a cami with a blazer to work and then out for play. You can simply switch out a smaller bag for a tote bag or a classic pump for a more fun heel like I did here. Today I am talking about summer essentials and giving you some great options to shop.
It is hot hot hot in Texas (like triple digits already.. yikes) so I often pair my blazers with shorts in the summer when I’m off duty or even just opt for a cami and shorts. If you’re in the office place, no matter how casual, shorts won’t due. I love styling blazers with a cami and black skinny pants or jeans. I styled this look for more of an off-duty going out for drinks look. The colors on this blazer are light and perfect for summer! I paired it with a black cami and black accessories including my favorite lace up tassel shoes and this crossbody.
Whenever I’m looking for great summer essentials like these, I always look to Topshop at Nordstrom. Not only is there always a great selection of good basics with a little edge, but they are always at a great price. When I calculate the cost per wear on my camis or blazers, the deal is insane. Topshop always has on trend items whether you’re looking for more seasonal essentials or a more bold, trendy look. I love shopping there because I can order online and either do pick up that day curbside (they’ll bring it out to you so you don’t even have to park and go in) and often times they have same day delivery. When I’m in a pinch, it’s definitely my go to!
This bag is a total steal and I love the size of it. Perfect for a night out, but it still holds everything you need. These heels have been my favorite shoes since I got them. I just love that they are classic black, with a twist. SO good. You can never go wrong with classic sunnies like these in my opinion, either. These are sort of my ‘signature’ pair. I hope your week is off to an amazing start! We have snow days built into our school schedule in case of bad weather, but since Dallas got no snow this year, we get today and tomorrow off. A three day weekend, followed by a four day weekend, followed by a regular weekend and then a two month vacation! The kids and teachers are already finished so I’ll be up at the school wrapping up reports, doing paperwork, purging files from this year, and prepping files for next year. Today I plan to enjoy the day off by sleeping in a little, starting with a workout with my trainer, and running some errands. I also figure I may as well lay out by the pool, or hang out in the pool, because what else is there to do in 100+ degree weather?!
