It’s officially the time of year when I live in shorts and dresses as much as possible, because its just insanely hot. Any day under 100 I whip out my jeans, but otherwise, I keep it light and simple. I don’t know what it is, but the heat has become almost unbearable to me unless I’m in the pool. Is that another side affect of getting older? Whatever it is, it definitely has made me dress more consciously in the summer months. It’s not always possible to wear shorts and dresses, but I try to as much as I can to keep cool.

Even though this romper has sleeves, its so lightweight that it is breathable and cool to wear out and about in the heat. It’s such an easy look for a summer date night paired with heels or wedges or for running around town with sneakers or slides. I loved the smocked detailing around the chest because my crush on the smocked trend is still in full force. The balloon sleeve with the ruffle detail is such a fun, feminine detail. This romper is a perfect look for vacation, too. It’s a great price point for something that you’ll live in, which you will! I’ve worn this at least once a week since I got it.

I am oh so crazy at work this week trying to wrap things up these last few few days before my summer vacation starts. I’m also busy with blogging because I’m trying to get a lot shot, including some campaigns, before I leave town for awhile. Plus, I’m shopping for two completely different trips. Just a few more days though and then the fun starts! I’m also insanely excited to work less and sleep more. It’s truly the little things that make the difference. I hope that all of you are having a great week so far.
