Happy hump day aka wedding Wednesday. After planning a wedding, I think I realized how much of the big day is really all in the details, so I wanted to share some of those with you all today! Details are what makes your day unique and special to you. For example, the beautiful handkerchief below was given to me by Charles’s aunt. His great grandmother hand embroidered it and it had been passed down. This was such a special touch to have with me on our wedding day! I am usually all about the little things and these details were a few ways I added my own touch to our big day.
RINGS
I’ve been so excited to share these gold vintage inspired bands with you all. I wanted to incorporate gold into my stack and did not want to wait to get these gold ones as a part of it. These were gifted to me c/o Michael Hill. I love how dainty they are! They were so helpful in ensuring that I got the right size I needed before our big day. They have tons of jewelry including wedding bands and engagement rings, plus necklaces, earrings, and anything else you might need. I highly recommend them if you’re in need of great options in every price range. These are so affordable!
GETTING READY OUTFIT
I got ready in a white lace romper that was given to me on my bachelorette party and this pretty white kimono robe that was given to me c/o Show Me Your Mumu. They have so many beautiful options for not only the bride, but her bridal party on the big day. I also love this romper! They are one of my favorite clothing brands because everything is so cute and always so on trend. I still wear this robe all the time because I love it so much! I wanted something comfortable and of course, white to get ready in on the big day!
MAKEUP & HAIR
I did my own makeup on the big day after some lessons, lots of You Tube vidoes, and months of practice in Dallas. Luckily, my sister-in-law, Jessica, does my hair so I was able to have her help me touch up my beach waves. I wanted to look like myself, just a better, more photo ready version so I was sure to pick out products that would last, but look natural. I’ve linked the products I used below. Also, a big part of my wedding day look was my skincare leading up to it. You can read more about what I did with Enlighten MD in this post and this post prior to my wedding.

SHOES
I new these Jimmy Choos were the perfect wedding shoe for me as soon as I saw them. I loved the gold detail, the straps, and the height of them. They weren’t uncomfortable and I was able to dance in them all night. I will keep these forever and hope to bring them out on our anniversary or other special occasions to wear again and remind me of our wedding night. They are definitely a statement shoe, but I loved them so much.
PAPER GOODS
Our paper goods including menus, place cards, programs, etc. matched our wedding invitations. We wanted a simple invitation with a little touch that brought in Italy, which is why the olive leaf was perfect. We hand wrote each person a card thanking them for attending our wedding as our place cards, which everyone thought was such a unique touch. All of our paper goods, including our save the dates and invitations, were c/o Minted.
I would love to know some of the special details you had on your big day! It makes it all so fun to know the history or thought behind each little thing.
I am off to the big apple today for New York Fashion Week. I am SO excited to attend for my first time. I’ll be staying in an apartment with a few other blogger friends and cannot wait for all the fun ahead. It’s definitely been a lot of prep work and I still don’t feel prepared, but I know it will be such a fun experience. Be sure to follow along on Instagram for all of the behind the scenes! XO
