With America’s birthday just around the corner, I thought this would be the perfect little outfit to share to give you all some ideas on what to wear on the 4th of July. Plus, I’m rounding up some of my favorite red, white, and blue pieces for you to shop in time for the big holiday! July 4th is always such a fun holiday. Whether you spend it traveling with friends, by the lake or at the pool, or just cooking out with family, it’s such a nice time to stop and enjoy yourself in the midst of Summer. In the last few years we have spent our July 4th in Tuscany, in Dallas and in Rio de Janiero. This year, we’ll spend it in Capri on our honeymoon. I am SO excited!
This little red chambray ruffle top was a must the second I saw it. Chambray is one of my favorites, especially for Summer because it is so light weight and easy. I styled it with my favorite high waisted white shorts, but didn’t want to be completely casual with flat sandals, so I wore flatform wedges. I wanted to keep it patriotic, while still being understated, so I just added a turquoise choker. This choker is part of a set of statement necklaces that can be worn together or separate. This choker is one of my absolute favs! I love turquoise against tan skin and can’t get enough of it in the Summer.
Andd now for some of my top patriotic color picks for you to wear on the 4th no matter what your plans.

My adorable red ruffle top has been selling out quick, so I’m linking it at several retailers and also the white eyelet version. I found two almost identical ones, so I am linking those for you to shop as well!

I hope you’re following along with all of our Italy (and soon to be Greece) adventures via Instagram. As this post goes live, we’ll be doing a wine tour in Tuscany with our wedding guests, then having a welcome party at our villa where everyone will be wearing white while we eat pizza and drink wine. Our plans for the 4th include taking a boat ride out to the isle of Capri and spending the day there. I’ll be on the hunt for the best lemon gelato! When we get back to Positano in the evening we will be dining at Chez Black, which is a very well known and highly recommend restaurant there that we can’t wait to try. I’ve been dreaming of visiting the Amalfi Coast forever and it will be so amazing to get to experience it as the first trip following our wedding. I hope this post gave you some great inspo for what to wear on the 4th of July and that you have a wonderful day no matter what you do! XO
