FUN SUMMER STYLE
I love having a little fun with my wardrobe in the Summer. I’m off work and just tend to socialize and travel more in general when the weather is warmer, so I usually dress more ‘off duty’ and fun.
This fun outfit is from River Island, who I partnered with today to share my distinctive summer style with you all. I was so excited to collaborate with them, because I absolutely love their clothing. I first discovered the brand a few years ago when shopping on another site that carries their clothing. They were a brand I continually ordered items made by and one that I searched specifically for before eventually just turning straight to the River Island site. You may recall this bold green blazer dress I styled last week, which is also made by them. I love that their pieces are on trend and that they are great price points. You can find so many pieces under $50 and a ton under $100, too! They carry every thing from tops and dresses to swimwear, bags, shoes, and accessories. They have so many great basics
This look I’m sharing today is a little less bold than last week’s bright green blazer dress paired with a leopard headscarf, but is still a unique twist on the classics like a black top and white pants.
UNIQUE TWIST ON THE CLASSICS
Each piece in this classic, yet fun outfit is under $100! I was obsessed with these white pants the second I saw them. I love a good pair of white pants (or a few) for summer. They feel so fresh and are fun to style time and time again either dressed up or down. I loved that these hit just around the mid section and that they had a wide leg and a high slit. Here in Texas, we’re all about easy, breezy clothing in the summer because it is H-O-T. Like really, it was 99 degrees already the other day. These pants also come in black. I knew I wanted to pair these pants with a crop top for a more dressed up, date night look. I saw this ruched crop top, which comes in three other colors, and knew it would be perfect. Not only is it a steal at under $35, but it will go with so much and I know I’ll get great use out of it in the months to come. I will with these pants, too! For size reference, I’m wearing a UK size 8 in both. I could have probably worn a UK size 6 in the pants, too.
I kept my shoes simple, but added a little sparkle for date night with this fun rhinestone chain bag and a somewhat matching choker. Both of these accessories are under $30! I love chokers because they give any look a little edge and I love how they contrast with an off-the-shoulder top.
WARDROBE REFRESH

I’ve rounded up a bunch of my favorites broken down by category for you all to shop below. I love how many of their pieces come in tons of colors. For example, this ruched sleeve blazer and this tie front cami slip dress come in 10 colors and this peplum hem cami comes in 12. I love that, because when I find something I like I want it in a few colors. I just added that cami dress in two colors to my shopping bag because I know I will get so much wear out of that this summer and that I can layer over it during the cooler months.

Who else wishes that every work week was only four days?! I would do the same amount of work I do in five days in four if every weekend could be three days long. That extra day off is so rejuvenating and you’re already so close to the weekend again when you head back to work. I love it! My husband and I got into The Killing on Netflix a few weeks ago and binge watched a few episodes last night after work together. It’s a murder-mystery type show, which you know this Psych nerd absolutely loves! Hope that all of you are having a fabulous, short week so far.
