It’s official, I’ve fallen back into a habit from high school. I swore we’d break up for good, but then something happened. It was out of my control and I just couldn’t help myself. I’ll get into all the details in a moment in today’s blog post, which is all about denim throwback. How perfect that today is #tbt or Throwback Thursday, right?
THROWBACK
If you asked me my favorite place to shop in high school it would have been one easy answer. I worked at a restaurant across the street from the mall in high school and I spent way too much of my hard earned money across the street. My favorite store? Abercrombie and Fitch. You name it, I bought it from there. Moose this, moose that, smells of their signature cologne errryywhere. I swore when I graduate high school that I would stop shopping there and stop wearing all my A&F goodies.
I stuck to my plan to move on and aim to diversify my wardrobe, with the exception of one pair of Abercrombie jeans. They were my favorite pair ever and I refused to throw them out or sell them. In fact, I kept them for a solid eight years after high school. Yup, eight. They were just THAT good. They also happened to be my ‘skinny’ jeans. You know the pair. We all have them. You keep them as a measure. As long as that pair of jeans fit, you’re still in decent shape. If they don’t button, it’s time to kick it in gear.
FASHION FULL CIRCLE
Sometime last year, I noticed that my once favorite store had gone through somewhat of a rebrand. I found myself on the Abercrombie website wanting SO many items. I was shocked at how amazing the prices were. I was also surprised to see how many items wee so simple with no moose or obvious logo. They often have sales on their site, too only making it more affordable. Plus, the quality is better than ever. Jeans were one of the last things I bought after shopping at Abercrombie again. I tend to be very picky when it comes to jeans and I had remembered how amazing that favorite pair of mine for so many years was and just assumed there was no way they could be that good again. I’m here to admit that I was wrong.
ABERCROMBIE JEANS
This pair of jeans I am wearing is the perfect high waist jean. I love the wash and the frayed, slightly uneven hem. They fit SO good and are so flattering. I sized up, but really think I could have bought my usual size and it would hold everything in just right. The price point on these jeans is amazing and they are 50% off right now! They also come in sixteen different washes.
It’s amazing to be able to get a few pairs of high quality, great fitting jeans from Abercrombie for the same price you would get one designer pair elsewhere. You can also get them in different lengths– short, regular, and long. I went with regular and I love the length, but I probably could have also done short to have them be more of an ankle length and show off fun shoes even more. I wore these to work on Friday last week and out and about on the weekend and got so many compliments. When people asked where they were from and I told them Abercrombie, they were shocked! I’m someone who believes that great style doesn’t require a great budget. Finding pieces that fit amazing and are a good price point is my priority.
MORE THAN DENIM
Not only do I love A&F for jeans, but their every day pieces are great. My cami and my wrap top are also from Abercrombie. They both come in a few colors and are great closet essentials that I know I’ll get so much use out of. They’re simple and so cute. I also love their shorts, loungewear, and sweaters. I’ve gotten so many questions about this cami! A few of you messaged me on Instagram asking where it was from after seeing my stories yesterday because I was wearing it yet again. I got a few other cute every day pieces from Abercrombie that I can’t wait to style for you all, because I know you’ll love them as much as I do!

Whether you’re style is more understated or you love big graphic logos, Abercrombie has it all right now! The nineties and logo tees are totally back in anyways, so may as well rep it loud and proud. XO

I really like the simple look. Nothing completes an outfit more than a good pair of denim! 🙂 ❤️
