With temperatures up and down in Dallas every few days, I can’t help but dream of Spring. I love white jeans year round, but especially in Spring. I’m dreaming of those warmer days so I’m already starting to shop for and wear some warmer weather clothes. Tan and white is one of my favorite combos any time of year, but I especially love it as Spring comes around. I’ve worn this jacket a few times before (here and here) but wanted to lighten it up to show how versatile through the seasons it can be. I added black accessories since it is still technically the heart of winter given that it’s January. Anddd who am I kidding?! I love black and wear it year round for any occasion. I try not to wish away the days, weeks, or months, but I do wish away the cold weather!
This is such an easy look to recreate. You can pair any white bottom with a simple grey t-shirt or top, black shoes, and a tan jacket or sweater. I kept my jewelry simple since it’s a simple look. Dress it up for date night with pumps or dress it down even more by pairing it with sneakers.

With all the changes in weather, I’m sick as can be. I missed work yesterday for the second time in my life because of being sick. I usually just try to rearrange my schedule (and spend the day writing reports instead of working with kids), but I felt so awful I couldn’t even get up to make it in. I started a z-pack and have been taking all the medicine I have. This is a big deal for me because I am SO not a fan of medicine. Once I start taking it.. you know I feel really bad. Nothing sounds good in terms of food, especially Whole 30 approved foods, so I’ve been living off smoothies/smoothie bowls. Something cold on my sore throat has just sounded good.
What is it about being sick that I just want tomato soup and a grilled cheese?! I did have some Whole 30 approved tomato soup the day before yesterday. But, it didn’t quite do the trick. Not that I can taste anything anyways. I sort of think this is a way of my body telling me to chill out a little. Between my new job, my blog, and everything else I have been going non-stop. Last week I had a few nights up way past my bed time catching up on work from my day job and my weekends have been spent catching up on blog work. I’m going to work on balancing it all out, because it is not good for my health! I’m quite perfectionistic so starting a new job has me wanting to be sure that everything is done to the highest standard. Hopefully I’m back to 100% soon and can get back to working out. I have less than two weeks left until I finish the Whole 30 and I’m really looking forward to feeling all the great benefits once I’m well again. PS– if you have any home remedies, please send them my way!
