As a born and raised Dallasite, I can say I’m a Cowboys fan for life. I grew up in the 90’s when the Cowboys were THE team. My brother’s entire room was blue and silver and every year we wanted to be a Cowboys player and a cheerleader for Halloween. I love family time watching the games and even more so, going to them. I don’t remember the last time so many people in this city were this excited about the Cowboys. Da Boys are Back, y’all. We have a huge game tonight against the Eagles where two rookie quarterbacks will face off. We just came off a bye week, are 5-1, and I can’t wait to see our team in action tonight!
We weren’t going to do anything last night to celebrate Halloween, but last minute my fiance got an urge to go out so he made a costume by putting a back brace, knee brace, and arm sling on while walking with a cane to be Tony Romo. (He’s currently out because of injury). I wore a Dak Prescott jersey (who’s our rookie QB that is in and doing fabulous), french braids, and called it a day. Not bad for a last minute (seriously, we decided at like 4:00) costume if I do say so myself. People kept laughing at my fiance’s choice. I always love a relevant to the current times costume and for those of us in Dallas that are such big Cowboys fans, this was for sure on point.
I know what you’re thinking, since when is this a football blog? Well, it’s not. But, its something that I love. I also love wearing my blue and grey around on Sundays and love finding different ways to style looks to support my Boys even if I’m not going to the game. I do the same thing with college football on Saturdays (but I’m wearing red to support my Razorbacks). Football is a big thing across the USA, but in The South, it’s just what Fall is all about. I love cooking while the games are on in the background and having dinner ready in time to watch whichever game is in the Sunday night slot.
Today, I just finished taking some blog pics of some new Fall looks that I can’t wait to share with you guys. And I am off to eat at one of my favorite cozy restaurants in town: The Porch. They have the best mac & cheese ever. Not the best choice for my plans tomorrow, but that’s okay. Speaking of, I’ll be going to Bridal Boutique of Lewisville to shop for my wedding dress! Woohoo! My mom, future mother-in-law, and sister-in-law will be coming with me and I can’t wait. They have over 800 dresses so I’ll need their help for sure to narrow it down. I’ll be taking over Wedding Wire‘s snap chat if you want to follow along tomorrow (their user namer is weddingwire). Can’t wait!! Whatever you have planned tonight and tomorrow for actual Halloween. I hope it’s great!
Those booties are so cute and I love the elbow patches!
