Thanksgiving will quickly come and go this week and then we will be in the full winter holiday swing! To start getting you in the spirit (we may or may not have put our tree up last week), I decided I would talk a little about dressing festive for this time of year. I usually don’t like skipping ahead to talk about Christmas before Thanksgiving has come and gone, but I can’t help but have it on my mind. The holiday party invites are starting to roll in and being the planner that I am, I am thinking ahead to what to wear for those, holiday card photos, and just day to day now that the temps have finally dropped. I also wanted to explain how you all can shop my new Holiday tab! I’ve got tons of gift guides for you and so many cute items to shop for dressing yourself this time of year. I’m making new collages each week with some of my top picks and I update my gift guides daily, so there is always something new to shop for everyone on your list! Be sure to scroll down to the bottom of this post to get all the info you need for easily navigating my holiday content including all the best of the upcoming SALES!
First things first, let’s talk about my look. I am obsessed with winter white! It’s so crisp and clean and it creates a perfect blank palette so you can have a little fun with your accessories. I paired this sweater with a red bag and a red lip, then added a metallic bootie and a gold statement earring. I love red and gold together, but think silver looks equally amazing, particularly with winter white. The rest of this outfit is simple and classic, so adding some fun accessories livened it up a little!
Adding red or metallic into your look are two of the easiest ways to dress festive around the holidays! You can keep the rest of your look simple and just layer on these colors! I’m rounding up all my favorites for you to shop below.

The color red represents the holidays to me. Both red and metallic were huge trends during the Fall (see more about that here) and they aren’t going anywhere for the holidays. They are classic holiday options and you will look instantly festive by adding either or both in around this time! My advice? Keep it simple. Don’t try to do too much of one or the other.

I also wanted to be sure to explain the new ‘Holiday’ category and tab you may have noticed on my home page. If you haven’t, it’s sort of hard to mix because it is in big red letters! If you click on that tab, you’ll find my gift guide collages so far, plus any other Holiday related posts (like this one!) If you hover over that, you’ll have a drop down menu where you can click on either Gift Guides or Shopping. Gift Guides include widgets or a ton of pictures of products that I’ve hand picked from countless sites. I have a gift guide for everyone on your list and not only add new items to them daily, but am adding more categories, soon. The shopping tab has all of my picks for sweaters, dresses, jackets, sequins, accessories, boots, and more! While the holidays are absolutely about giving to others, you’ll also likely end up needing some new clothing to not only stay warm in, but for any holiday parties, traveling, or just because you want to treat yourself! If there is a gift guide you think is missing or you need more options, please let me know and I am happy to help.
Be sure to check back here on Thursday morning because I’ll have all the info you need to start your holiday shopping early on Thanksgiving day and on Black Friday. I’ll also have tons of sale information for you this time next week so you can navigate Cyber Monday. I don’t know about you, but I prefer to skip the crowds and shop online in my pajamas from my couch, potentially with a glass of wine and Netflix streaming in the background. I’ve also started including my top picks from sales that pop up under my Shop Page and then under SALE ALERT. I love snagging a good deal, so if you do, too be sure to check back there to save some big bucks!
As I’m sure many of you saw via Instagram, my weekend was spent in Nashville. This was my first time visiting Music City and I absolutely loved it. It was so clean, chill, and fun. We didn’t have too much of an itinerary, which I loved. There were so many gorgeous trees that didn’t even look real because of the colors of their Fall foliage. I felt like Nashville was somewhere I could totally call home and I will 100% be back to visit. I’ll be sharing my Nashville city guide with you all, soon so stay tuned. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are looking forward to the short work week and time with family and friends during the week ahead! XO
I love your red handbag. I like how you incorporated the color red into your outfit. It’s such a nice pop of color and I agree that the color red brings about that holiday feel.
