The holidays are a perfect time to add a little bling into your wardrobe. What better way to do that than with the most classic of clothing pieces? I’m talking jeans. I live for a good pair of denim and its my favorite thing to splurge on and one of the things I change up most in my wardrobe. Finding denim that fits good, feels good, and is on trend is oh so important to your overall look. I also think it’s so important for how I feel in regards to comfort and confidence. Embroidered denim has been fun to play with over the past few months (see how I styled a pair when I talked about the trend here), but lately I’m living for the embellished denim trend. I love dressing up jeans when I can and think that an embellished pair of denim is a great choice for a more casual holiday gathering. I’m talking more about my specific pair, how to rock this trend, and some of my favorite options. I’m breaking down my favs by both price and style, so you can find what you want to ensure you have your party pants ready for the next few weeks!
I’ve been dying to share this pair of jeans with you all! I just love the sequin and beaded embellishment with the boyfriend style distressed jean. This pair is under $150 and is one of my favorite budget-friendly denim brands. While I plan to get a lot of use out of this pair in the weeks and months to come, I didn’t want to spend too much on my first pair until I felt the trend out a bit more. We’ll talk more in a minute about which pairs to splurge on!
I paired this pair with a black sweater with a statement sleeve. I wore this sweater before in a beautiful turquoise color and loved the thickness of it. These ruffle sleeves wouldn’t make it the easiest sweater to layer a slim fitting jacket over, so I love that it kept me warm enough on its own. The bag I’m wearing comes with a removable pom strap, which I took off for this look to keep it simple. I love that you can wear it with the pom strap, with the black cross body strap like I did here, or on is own as a top handle!
My advice is to let the embellished denim be the star and to keep the rest of your look pretty simple. While I do have statement sleeves, my sweater is black and sort of blends with the accessories in my look so the denim can shine. There are so many ways to style the embellished denim trend, but I think the overall key is to let them shine! Basically, don’t wear a pair of jeans with sequins on them with a sequin top. We don’t need embellishment or sequin overkill.
If you opt for a more subtle pair with just a few pearl details, you could absolutely add in another accessory (like this beanie or this bag) that had pearls subtly embellished on it. A t-shirt and jeans with a moto jacket also looks amazing with these jeans! Dress them down with a sweatshirt and slides or create a juxtaposed look by wearing a sweatshirt, a moto jacket, and heels with them. There are so many options, just don’t go too overboard so you don’t end up looking like a disco ball or like you’re a decorated Christmas tree.
One thing to keep in mind is that embellished clothing tends to be a little more expensive because of the extra work that goes into it. That does not mean you have to break the bank though! Price is obviously a huge factor in deciding what to buy, so I’m rounding up all my top embellished denim by price for you below. I think you should feel comfortable splurging on a pair that is more classic and not too over the top! Also, if you feel great in them, then they may also be splurge worthy!

I don’t think these quite count as embellished, but I am also obsessed with the velvet detailing on this pair anddd the lace detail on this pair. You really can’t ever have enough pairs of jeans! #amiright?
I’d love to know what your favs are, if you’ve embraced this trend (or are now planning to), AND if you liked that I broke my roundup into both price and style so you can shop different ways. I always like to keep price in mind, because if we’re being really is generally the factor on if we can or should get something, not just what we want to get, and I know everyone has a different budget!
