Little Ruffled Dress + Giveaway

It’s no secret that I love black. It’s so versatile and classic, which lets you buy a piece that you can wear season after season. My solid black pieces are some of the longest I keep in my closet. I love white, too but unfortunately I end up spilling something which forces me to get rid of them sooner than I’d usually like. I’m constantly looking for new LBDs to add to my wardrobe, particularly during winter. I love layering black dresses with different tights as it becomes cooler and under different jackets. I couldn’t say no to this one at under $40 and it’s so comfortable!

You may remember this jacket from this post, where I styled it over a body suit. I threw this jacket on over this little ruffled dress to wear to an event last week. I attended a little preview + launch party at The Mansion in Dallas for @bagsnob‘s launch of her new hand bag collection with Net-A-Porter. The bags were stunning and this amazingly successful blogger was too cute and fun in person! It was a great event where I got to catch up with some of my fellow Dallas bloggers and meet some new ones. Isn’t it so funny how sometimes you can meet someone who you follow or interact with on social media and you feel like you already know them? I love this and especially with in the blogger community because we are all on similar pages. It’s introducing yourself but with a hug because you already ‘know’ one another.

I took these photos early in the morning last weekend and it was FREEZING y’all. I am so not a fan of the cold. I like it just enough to whip out the jackets, scarfs, and other fun cold weather accessories. Standing out in it for extended times (especially when trying to look decent taking outfit photos) is not my fav. I’m gonna work on it this winter!

Only a few sleeps stand between me and the beach in Jamaica! Which is just in time because these photos made me realize I’ve lost alllll of my summer tan. If anyone has been and has any recommendations, please share. We’ll mostly just be staying at our house we rented and relaxing, which I am oh so excited about!
