I’ve been telling you all for the past few months how happy I am that so many nineties trends are back. There are so many trends in fashion that often make their way back around and the nineties as a whole are definitely having their moment right now. These trends are so fun to me, because I was actually around and wearing them the last time they were in style. It brings up so many fun memories from growing up! I’ve been loving putting a modern spin on some of my favorite nineties trends and I don’t see myself slowing down any time soon! Today, I’m sharing two nineties inspired looks and how you can score some of the cutest nineties inspired trends at a bargain.
The nineties have some really great memories. I think back to the Spice Girls, Saved by the Bell, and even TLC. My favorite places for nineties fashion inspo are old FRIENDS episodes, Clueless, and anything worn by Princess Diana. I Instantly remember watching FRIENDS episodes where the girls are wearing high waisted Levis (or what I used to call ‘Mom jeans’) and a cute little crop top or sweater. I also love thinking of Cher from Clueless in a few looks featuring fun, high waisted denim. Princess Diana was the queen of fashion in her day. My mom always loved her, as her mother is from London, so I’ve always loved to look back at her style for inspiration, especially so when channeling some nineties vibes.
FAV NINETIES BRANDS
One of my favorite brands that gives all of the nineties vibes is Levis. It took me a little while to take the plunge into wearing Levis again on the reg, but since I started, I haven’t stopped and just keep finding amazing pairs to add to my collection.
Nike is another brand that can give off some really fun, nineties vibes. I’ve actually never stopped wearing Nike, but lately I’ve been incorporating more ‘throwback’ style sneakers, logo tees and tanks, and jackets. These sneakers are the Nike low blazer sneaker and they are so comfortable and go with everything from shorts to jeans and even dresses.
I’m wearing Levi’s and Nike in both the looks shared today, both of which can easily be found on eBay along with tons of other cute nineties inspired clothing. You all know based on this post and this post just how much I love eBay and that I’ve been shopping on there for as long as I can remember. I love that I can find some pieces I’m eyeing at a bargain and that I can find pieces that are sold out or discontinued, yet are still brand new. eBay has all the cutest nineties trends from logo tees to high waisted denim to shoes that are great to transition into fall to all the perfect plaid pieces.
NINETIES INSPIRED LOOK 1
Let’s talk a little more about the look with the Levi denim shorts first. Denim shorts aren’t just for summer and actually, one of my favorite ways to style them is with a sweater, like I did here. This sweater is Tommy Hilfiger, which is another brand that screams nineties to me. I tied the sweater up in a little knot, which I remember doing all the time back in the day and still like to do so things are a little more fitted. I paired this look with some fun, round eye glass frames and a red Zac Zac Posen bag. My exact one isn’t available, but I linked some really cute similar options! Just FYI I sized up two sizes in these shorts from my normal size.

NINETIES INSPIRED LOOK 2
I also styled my current favorite pair of Levi jeans in a nineties inspired look. I saw this throwback style Nike bomber jacket and died over it. I paired it with a black smocked crop top and a black belt bag. I’m pretty sure belt bag is the modernized term and it would have just been called a good ole fanny back back in the nineties. I bought my usual size in these jeans, but probably could have sized up one, too.

MORE THAN FASHION
Just in case you don’t know already, eBay is much more than just fashion. You can find just about anything on their site. I love looking at their daily deals page, because they have everything from home appliances to luggage to technology and everything in between.
What is your favorite trend from the nineties? I’d love to know what you’re liking. Also, I’d love to know which of the two looks I shared is your favorite?! It’s hard for me to pick, but I think I’m leaning towards look two. The bomber is just so bold and fun! I love SO many nineties trends that it’s hard to choose and I’ve just been wearing them all. XO
