Ruffles are having a serious moment. I don’t mean in the tacky way you’d expect to see them on a bedspread from the eighties. They are everywhere and I am loving them. Ruffles provide depth to an outfit and give an otherwise ‘plain’ white blouse like this one an incredibly special feature that makes it stand out. I’m not the girliest of girls, and while you might not be either, don’t go thinking you shouldn’t venture into this trend. There are so many subtle ways to wear them and make this detail fit into your own style, whatever that might be. Keep reading for more of this ruffled white top and a roundup of all the best options for Spring.
I styled this blue ruffle sleeved top on the blog last week and shared that I am picky when it comes to ruffles. So, while I won’t be sporting them every day, I’m letting them make some serious appearances in my wardrobe. The key to making them not-so-over-the-top girly? Simplicity. Notice the top I styled last week is a solid blue. This one is solid white and is a classic blouse. I’ve seen some solid black ones that I’ll probably just have to purchase soon, too. I even shared a little romper on Instagram yesterday that had a slight ruffle hem on the side. I’m loving how subtle they can and what a flirty little touch they add! Ruffle your feathers, or try something different, and grab you some ruffles. I’m sharing the best of the best available in white at the end of this post.
I picked up this top at the Zara sale (is there anything better?) for like $11 a few weeks ago. Insane. Zara is just soo good and Dallas is lucky enough to have two stores now. I can get myself into some serious trouble in that store, but particularly during their sales. SO many amazing, classic pieces and some really well-priced trendy ones. I was actually just playing on their website and saw a yellow dress with a ruffled edge on the sleeve and I’ve been honestly thinking about it the whole time I’ve been writing this post. Since this one is not available online (although this striped one looks similar on their site) I’ve linked similar ones here and a ton of options at the end of the post.

As promised, a round up of all my favorite white ruffle tops are below. Almost all are under $100 and a TON of them are under $50.
Who watched The Grammy’s last night? I am SUCH an award season junkie. I watch all of the red carpet shows, the awards, and the fashion-recaps. My fiancé has just accepted it after over five years (aka five award seasons) together. I have to say that I LOVED Adele last night. Her performance where she cursed after messing up and got frustrated with herself, stopped, and started again was so powerful to me. What an amazing example that even someone with a voice like that who everyone loves needs a redo in her day-to-day. I loved that. I also will be stalking how to do her eye makeup for some wedding inspo. I meaaaaan. GOALS. She was amazing. I love the Grammys’ because of course, the entertainment, but most importantly, the risk taking. The fashion is edgier and is such an expression of how different all of these talented people are. It’s so fun to watch! Would love to know your fav performance, outfit, or even joke from the show.
Hope you all have a wonderful week! XO
These sleeves are so pretty!
