Last year when quarantine started, we had almost nothing outside on our patio. When decorating, we were focusing on the inside of our home. We decided we should prioritize furnishing our back patio last spring. Not only was it a great project, but we knew we’d get a lot of good use out of it while working & hanging out so much at home. Although we got to enjoy the space after we decorated it, we have not had many opportunities to use it for entertaining. I was so excited for this year so that we could do some summer patio entertaining. Today, I’m sharing a summer tablescape for an alfresco dinner we hosted for some friends.
Summer Patio Entertaining
I absolutely love to host others at our home. Whether it’s friends for a movie night with pizza, a home cooked meal, or a puppy play date, I love it all. I particularly love hosting friends & family for meals! It’s so fun for me to create a tablescape using some of our entertaining pieces! I approach serving ware the same way I do home decor. I love neutral pieces that can be mixed & matched. I also love to find pieces that feel unique!

I’m sure it’s no surprise that all of our outdoor dining furniture came from CB2. You can see more from our patio reveal last year. You all know that CB2 is my go to home decor store. They are also an amazing destination for all of your entertaining needs! They have beautiful serving pieces, barware, dishes, & everything else you need for hosting. Everything featured in this tablescape is a CB2 find & I was so excited to partner with them again to share our summer patio entertaining pieces. ICYMI, you can catch up on my last post with them on our spring console refresh.
Being almost 9 months pregnant & the heat in Texas will not stop me from enjoying this space! We have fans outside & it cools down a bit at night. Plus, we have a covered patio that really helps provide some shade. Updating the cover on our patio is on our home update to do list! We’ve been focusing on the inside & things we felt were essential, so since this has still been functional, although not totally our aesthetic, we’ve kept it as is. I’m open to any & all suggestions for what might work! We just started to look into options for updating the landscaping on the front of our home so that is taking priority next. I’ll of course share the process with you all!
I hope you all loved seeing our tablescape featuring summer patio entertaining pieces. I absolutely love putting together tablescapes & this one was so fun! I am sharing a REEL of the behind the scenes & styling on my home decor account @alo_abode. Please let me know what sort of tablescape or home decor content you’d like to see next. Home decor has become such a passion of mine. It’s so fun for me to create & share! XO
