I am so excited for this weekend! Two of my best girl friends who live in Arkansas are coming to stay with me for the weekend. I can’t wait for a weekend to catch up face to face with my girls! These sort of weekends are always good for the soul. Plus, I love hosting people, so it’s so fun for me to get the house extra clean & the fridge & pantry stocked for company. Plus, it’s just the icing on the cake that it’s Fall & I’ve been working on all of our home Fall decor! Before I kick off the weekend, it’s time for another edition of The Weekly Lo Down! If you’re new, this is a weekly post where I share things I’m loving online from the week, answer your questions, share link or shopping requests, round up weekend sales + discount codes + recent blog posts, & share a charitable organization to consider supporting. Without further adieu, let’s get into it.
The Weekly Lo Down | 09.18.2020

Do you like window shopping or shopping for splurgeworthy pieces? I always browse through this site’s designer boutique & love to eye my next splurge or just have fun looking! I LOVE these sneakers & this beautiful bag.
I had my Sakara Life meals delivered again this week. They helped balance out all the Fall snacks I got from Trader Joe’s, ha! I saved my TJ’s haul to highlights if you missed it. If you want to try Sakara Life, you can get a discount with code: XOLAURENMR
I got in these booties this week that I am so excited to wear more as it cools down! They fit TTS.
Fall means all things pumpkin, including skincare! This mask is my fav this time of year. The AHA’s help to leave your skin feeling so smooth!
Added this cropped fleece to my cart the second I laid eyes on it. It looks like heaven!
Is anyone else so inspired by the clothing on Yellowstone right now? I’ve been looking on one of my go to sites for inspo for a Texas road trip next month & have found so much good stuff like this jacket, this dress, & this belt.
Good sneakers that don’t cost an arm & a leg.
Affordable neutral fall cardigans.
Cute sweaters for Fall.
For jeans, do you ever purchase long lengths or just regular? Jeans you like right now.
I am 5’6” & have a long torso with short legs. If length is an option, I get a regular length or even sometimes can get away with a short. A few pairs I’m loving right now are this pair, this pair, & I always go back to these.
Looking for western boots that go with a dress. Any recs?
Affordable home decor.
I love finding good deals on home decor! Some of my go to sites are H&M Home, Amazon, Target, & Walmart. I also watch for sales on all of the other sites I love (listed below). I find that they run different items on sale at different times so I just wait for what I’m eyeing to go on sale so I almost never pay full price. If there is anything specific you need help shopping for (book ends, decorative objects, etc) LMK & I’ll do a round up! For affordable Fall home decor, check out these blog posts: Fall Home Amazon Finds // Target Home Fall Finds // Target Fall Home Decor. I’ll have another one from a different site up on Monday!
Affordable clear sunglasses! Like your Ray Bans.
Dealing with loneliness.
This is a timely request. I heard on a podcast this week that the best way to deal with loneliness is to spend time working on yourself. This hit HARD. I know so many people must be dealing with this feeling right now. Over the past few months, I’ve tried so hard to work on myself & I think it helps with so much. On the podcast they were talking about how we all tend to always be doing SOMEthing & that spending time with ourselves, working on ourselves, & just being in the moment can help these feelings so much. Learning to enjoy being alone with yourself helps with loneliness & FOMO + I’ve noticed you just care less about what others think. I could write a whole blog post on this topic, so I’ll add it to my to do list. In the mean time, try to look at areas you could work on in yourself & then also reach out to a close friend or family member, try a new hobby, do something that helps others, & if you ever feel really down, be sure to ask for help.

This week’s charitable cause is Genesis Women’s Shelter. This is a Dallas-based charity that I have supported through donations several times & it is such a great organization! Their mission is to provide safety, shelter & support for women who have experienced domestic violence, & to raise awareness regarding its cause, prevalence & impact. Last year alone, they saw 3,700 women & children at their emergency shelter, transitional housing apartments, & nonresidential counseling office. The women who come to them are in a fight for their life. They aim to walk alongside each woman & tell her she is not alone & she deserves to feel safe & happy.
I hope you all enjoyed this week’s edition of The Weekly Lo Down. Whatever you have going on this weekend, I hope you find some time to relax! We are supposed to have some amazing weather & I plan to take full advantage. As always, I’ll be around & am here to help, so feel free to reach out with any questions or requests. I’ll be sharing all the best LTK app sales when they start on Sunday, too! XO
