Happy Friday, friends! I got a jump start on this week’s The Weekly Lo Down because last night my girlfriend & I did a little staycation at The Crescent hotel here in Dallas. She is in the midst of planning a wedding & all of you COVID brides know how stressful that can be, so I thought it would be fun to treat her to some girl time. One or two people messaged me that they were unfollowing since I wasn’t sharing. However, I got a ton of feedback saying most agreed with my decision, that it’s a private matter, & that I can choose to share what I want. Most of you follow me for fashion, beauty, travel, & everyday life as an escape & way to feel good, so I want to keep my page about that as much as possible. There will be time I share things that I am passionate about & feel that attention needs to be specifically called to, but I want everyone to feel welcome, heard, respected, & appreciated on my page. My opinion about voting & other sensitive topics is that they are done privately for a reason, so should you choose to keep what you do private, then you do what is best for you! I decided that was best for me, particularly this year, so I have stuck to my guns on that. If that upsets someone & they choose to unfollow, I respect that, too. I can’t please everyone!
Favorite products for brows.
Gahh I love all things eyebrows! I use this pencil to really shape them out on the edges as needed (I’m shade 4). I love the really fine tip! Then, I go in with this one to fill in the middle more. I use this tinted gel to set them or on ‘no makeup’ days. I use this serum for growth that I swear by. For my Dallas girls, I go to Claria Renee for microblading & lamination! She’s the qweeeen.

Is any of your wallpaper peel & stick?
No. It was all hung by local Dallas wallpaper professionals. I’m so OCD that I would just stare at any imperfections if I tried to do it myself, so I wanted to make sure it was done right! I have this one in my cloffice & this one in our new family room. I’ll probably do one more wallpaper accent wall (or even ceiling) somewhere in our home eventually. I personally get overwhelmed when a whole big room is all wallpaper, but on one wall as a statement or in a small power bath or something I love it!
Podcast recommendations!
I love Office Ladies so much! The Daily Stoic is great. It’s short 2-3 minute little episodes based on the book that I love & was reading every morning. Sets your day up right! Listen while you brush your teeth first thing. The Skinny Confidential. Joe Rogan depending on the guest (I tend to love the celeb ones & just the ease of their convos compared to traditional media). Girls Gotta Eat. It’s a dating podcast, but they are hilarious & always crack me up. Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend. The Sakara Life podcast, The Goop podcast, Work in Progress by Sophia Bush, Ted Talks Daily. I definitely could use some more! I love uplifting podcasts that put me in a good mood or are entertaining. Would love to which ones you all love most!!
Dress ideas for work holiday parties.
I love this dress so, so much. Also love this one or this one! I’ll work on a holiday party blog post with tons of other options soon, so stay tuned!
How to make a sporty girl look cute, but not too repetitive or casual?
Truly love specificity here! I think pairing sneakers (sporty) with any sort of solid dress is a great option. Layer a blazer to dress up the look so it isn’t too casual. The key to not feeling too repetitive in your wardrobe is to mix & match closet staples & then change out your accessories!
