It’s been a busy week around here. This is my first week being 100% self-employed! If you missed it, I quit my job a few months back, but was finishing out my contract through the end of the school year. It’s such an exciting feeling! I couldn’t have done this without all of the support from each one of you… so let me kick off this week’s version of The Weekly Lo Down by saying THANK YOU! I do not take this opportunity for granted & am so so appreciative for you all.
We are approaching the end of our home renovation (follow along via the highlight I made on Instagram stories). This means we have to move everything out of our house for the next eight or nine day so we can refinish all of our existing hardwood floors. We took the dogs to boarding yesterday & then Bellhop moving came to move all of our furniture out. Y’all, they were incredible. Our entire house was moved out in under an hour. I’m floored at their customer service! Since we have to be out of the house, we’ll be doing a long weekend staycation at the new Virgin Hotel in the Design District in Dallas. The rest of the time we’ll be staying with family & friends. I can’t wait to have the project finished in just a little over a week! It’s supposed to be finished next Saturday & my birthday is Sunday. I keep saying that is all I want for my birthday is to have it finished & everything moved back in. Fingers crossed!
The Weekly Lo Down
You all told me that my Isabel Marant sneakers I wear almost daily are on sale for over $150 off. I got my true size. If between, size up.
ICYMI be sure to check out my May Amazon purchases post. I do one each month where I round up all of my random monthly Amazon purchases.
If you all missed what I shared regarding being muted last week, be sure to catch up here & here. I shared my long term plan for being an antiracism ally & would love for you all to take part in the monthly challenges with me.
To make it through the craziness of this last week of living at home during the reno, I ordered Sakara Life again this week. I legit wish I could order this every week! It’s so good, convenient, & healthy. I always feel so good after eating their food for a week!
I’m crushing on these sunnies which are such a great designer dupe.

Share the Love
As I mentioned in last week’s special edition of The Weekly Lo Down called ‘Change with Me’ I will be adding a section each week with ways we can all share the love. The remainder of June I’ll be sharing causes supporting the BLM movement. Going forward this will be other causes that are near & dear to my heart, small businesses, & more. A few resources & brands to shop + support BLM are below!
I hope you all loved seeing this week’s version of The Weekly Lo Down. Whatever you are up to this weekend, I hope it is a fabulous one. XO
