Another week, another edition of The Weekly Lo Down. If you’re new, this is a weekly blog post & email I send out to my subscribers where I share random online finds or things you may have missed from stories this last week, answers to your questions & link requests, weekend sales, discount codes, recent blog posts, & a charitable cause to consider supporting. It’s meant to be a resource for you all going into the weekend! We have plans to celebrate a birthday this weekend at a friend’s house & are getting together with family. We also need to hit up the grocery store before Thanksgiving. I can’t believe it’s almost here! Without further adieu, let’s jump into The Weekly Lo Down.
The Weekly Lo Down | 11.20.2020
If you have a Samsung the Frame TV (see my full review + thoughts on if it’s worth it) did you know you can upload your own pics? I dowloaded this one & this one for ours so they have more of a winter/holiday vibe. I love them! See more options here.
If you are a Sakara Life fan, or have been wanting to try it, I have great news! They expanded their options & now you can order just 2 meals a day (instead of all three). You can also do less days! This makes it much more flexible to enjoy their amazing meals. I’m so excited! Use code: XOLAURENMR for a discount.
My fav makeup sponges that I love more than BeautyBlenders are not only so much more affordable (a pack of 5 for less than 1/2 the price of one), but I have a discount code. Use code: ALOPROFILE20 to save 20% at checkout. These would make a great stocking stuffer!
I’ve been using this black velvet ribbon in our Christmas decor around the house. I love it so much! Classic, chic, & ties everything around our home together.
I got these new sneakers in this week. I’ve worked out in them now & they are so comfortable. I sized up a 1/2 size.
I’ve used this one for years & love it.
Men’s sweaters! For gifts.
Christmas themed front porch!
What are you doing to help you lose the extra weight? Diet, workout routine, mental health…
I changed up my workouts a little over a month ago to start adding in more workouts that get my heart rate up (like this one I did exclusively for years). On days I am doing lower impact workouts, I am using the Couch 2 5k app to get back into running. I try to do intermittent fasting (although I’m not super strict on wine at night) & have been trying to eat more healthy meals overall + keep my complex carbs (like lentil pasta) to lunch times during the week. I’ve noticed a big change already!!
Shopping for my brother in law.
I did a blog post with tons of ideas!
Best black boots & booties!
These are my fav boots because they are so flattering on the leg with the dip in the front. I also like this pair for a fun, winter vibe or these for more of a day to night pair. The pairs of black booties I’m wearing most right now are these & these.
Rec for no show workout socks.
I bought these a month or two ago & they are my new fav. Ordering more for sure!
Mom gift for the simplistic, “gardening type” mom.
I came up with just the gift guide! Look at my gifts for the green thumb guide. I also have some cute ones on my gifts for her & since you can’t go wrong with a candle I came up with gifts for the candle lover.
Tree ribbon & picks. I need to step up my tree decorating.
I actually don’t have any ribbon on our trees this year. I did use this one to hang up some larger ornaments though. If you’re going the ribbon route, look at this one, this one, or this one. I did a round up of ornaments if you need some!

This week I am sharing the National Bail Fund Project from my Change with Me plan that I shared as my plan through the end of 2020 to continue to support the BLM movement. This organization believes that organizers should have the space & freedom to experiment with interventions to bring systemic change to the criminal legal & immigration systems. The National Bail Fund Network, is a part of The Community Justice Exchange which is a formation of over eighty community-led bail & bond funds that are part of campaigns to end pretrial & immigration detention. It’s a great cause to consider supporting should you feel compelled to do so!
Thanks so much for stopping by to spend some time with me before the weekend. I write this post each week to be a resource for you all to catch up on things you may have missed & help you all with things you’re shopping for. I know stories can be missed so it’s often easier to have this to reference as needed. As always, feel free to reach out with any thing I can help with! XO
