After sharing a few photos here and there on Instagram, I am finally sharing our bedroom reveal with you so you can see all of our bedroom decor! We moved into our current place a few months ago and I shared progress with you all in this post where I shared some of the pieces we received c/o Overstock. We’ve since finished up our bedroom, and our upstairs, so I wanted to share it with all of you! When decorating, I wanted to get pieces that we can move with us when we buy a house. We invested in the pieces we bought. Just like with clothes, when i invest in something it lasts longer. Also, when I wait and buy what I really want, rather than a cheaper version, I love it more. I love the decorating process. I like to take it slow, because I think finding pieces that go together take time. If you find a piece that you absolutely love, you can always get it and readjust. I’m constantly switching around little items in our house like picture frames, candles, succulents, etc.
I adore white bedding. Its a lot of upkeep with a dog, but it’s crisp, clean, and calming. I offset the white with a gray coverlet blanket underneath and a faux fur throw. Our bedding is linked for you to shop and our sheets and duvet insert are c/o West Point Home.
The print over our bed is from an artist in the UK that I got years ago for my now husband as a gift. I can’t for the life of me find exactly where I got it. However, I found a super similar one and linked it for you all to shop. This one is also very similar. This is one of our favorites pieces because its modern and a little unexpected. We both love rap and just love this print! It’s definitely a conversation starter for anyone who visits our home.
Every furniture piece in our home is neutral. I add color with books, photos and art, plants, flowers, and pillows. I like doing this, because you can easily update the space by switching out the accessories. My wardrobe is similar in that I’d rather go with neutrals and then switch up my accessories. I think that wardrobes and home decor should reflect a similar style for the person. I’m always surprised when I hear someone who loves fashion, but doesn’t like decor or vis versa. I love both so much! I love creating something that reflects your mood or current lifestyle. I love making it your own. I love that no one else will have your exact decor, because even if they have the exact same pieces, they’ll make it their own with their own photos. Just like with fashion, even two people wearing the same outfit look so different either because of the way they wear it or how they add to the main pieces.
Anyone else obsessed with having fresh flowers around the house? They just make me so happy! I love the life and the natural elements they bring into any space. I love buying fresh flowers each week. I switch out what is on the tray with the peace sign when I don’t have fresh flowers in this space and may add a succulent, another photo frame, a larger candle, etc. Switching it up keeps the space feeling fresh. I love having this big mirror in our room too for when i’m getting ready and want to sit on the floor and watch TV or when I’m planning out outfits. It also opens the space up even more.

We won’t keep the dresser pictured in our master when we move. I like this one, but I want a really dark almost black one or a really light one to go with the other furniture in our master. We had this one before and think it’s fine for now, so we’ll wait to get another one. We actually did this dresser on our own after one at West Elm that I don’t see available anymore, so I’ve linked a similar option. We have a bookshelf just like this one down stairs, so we can use them together in a new home if we want.
I tried to resist getting a clothing rack for the longest time, but I eventually had to break down. It’s the easiest way to keep all the clothing I need to shoot for the blog organized, so I broke down and got this simple one. In a house one day i hope to use one of the spare bedrooms as an office/closet so that will make it much easier to keep everything organized. For now, this little clothing rack does the trick!
We had these kinda random little landings that we weren’t sure what to do with in the hallway upstairs in our bedroom, so we made it into Maddie’s little dog bed and place to keep her toys. She hops up on her own to lay down or to grab her toys, but she really sleeps with us in bed.
Across from her bed on this hall wall we did a gallery wall. These are all photos from our wedding (which you can see more from in these posts: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 ) and from our honeymoon (which you can see more from here, here, here, and here). I plan to keep adding to this as we travel more in the coming months. I love gallery walls because you can continually add to them or update the photos in them.

The art print above our toilet is c/o Art Sugar. If you’ve never heard of them, they are an awesome site featuring some amazing artists who often showcase their pieces on their Instagram accounts. They also donate a % of the money made to charity! I loved how unique this piece was. Our shelves are from The Container Store, as are the baskets. I have these same baskets all over our home. You’ll see them below in our closet, but they are also in our pantry and our laundry room. I like buying the same ones so they all go in a home later! Not pictured is this gorgeous photo I have above our bath tub.

My shoe racks are from The Container Store and so are the baskets and labels. I get the hangers from Bed Bath and Beyond. The white divider shelves are from Ikea.

I hope you all loved seeing our bedroom! I’ll be sharing more of our place, soon. I just shot our kitchen and some of our living space this weekend. I am waiting on a giant mirror from Anthropologie to be delivered that is backordered until May to share our dining room. I get really impatient, but I love it so much it’s worth the wait. Stay tuned for more photos coming soon! XO
